Sometimes in life we are often faced with situations that we cannot control. Maybe these are due to things with the Economy, or maybe it is something to do with your Health at the moment, or maybe other family issues, and it often leaves you wondering why. Maybe you have even tried many things you know that should help improve them, and still you feel confused.
For me, that has happened many times in my life. With my Health, with other things, and then it just could be so easy to just give up. But for me, I have learned that with the help of God, all I have to do is go in Prayer asking him for guidance and help and know in time everything will be ok. It may not always happen right away but if I choose to not take control and try to change some things nothing will ever change as well.
So what are some things you do, or might have helped when you find yourself feeling overwhelmed as well?

Well I do turn to prayer and I talk to my mom which always helps. Also writting down my feelings in my journal helps.

Sometimes I feel better when I am in complete silence. No TV, radio, nothing. I think a lot of times we fear the silence because it gives us too much time to think. But perhaps that is what we need. To slow down, to feel the presence of God, and to realize somehow, some way, we will survive it all.

I feel overwhelmed from time to time. This is because I put a lot of pressure on myself to perform and get tasks done. Some days I will wake up and not feel like getting them done and it seems like a huge burden ahead. But I force myself to get them done. In the end it is worthwhile, but it can make me feel very overwhelmed. I am getting better controlling this feeling as time goes by.

When I feel overwhelmed I try to relax. A few years ago when I was living with friends I would just think of my great grandmothers and it was like they were there. I'm not sure what prompted me to think of them, but I did and it worked.

i feel overwhelmed most days of the week especially during the school year. i have to be up early to get my son off to school and make him lunch and breakfast, feed the dog and sometimes walk her if my husband has already left for work, i babysit from 9-5, drive my son to and from school, help him with his homework, keep the house clean and tidy during the day, cook dinner most nights, get the mail which is half way down my block, get the garbage and recycling out, do at least one load of laundry each day, sometimes banking and errands, do online surveys every day to make more money, bookkeeping for my husband's business and on and on. the weekends are a bit less crazy but still busy for me because if i let up too much i have to face what i have not gotten done during the week and add that to the mix. i feel stressed alot because of all of this but it is life unfortunately. if i had money i would gladly pay someone to do some of this for me so i had more time to be with my son and just relax but i don't.

All the time, having children is one of the hardest things in life and you often do feel overwhelmed once you become a parent. It is scary at times, you have so many decisions to make and you are so unsure of some of them. Like so many others have said. I turn to God and believe that he will drive me in the best direction.

I have felt overwhelmed many times, like you I go to God in prayer too. He does answer our prayers, he does take care of us, things do work out. It doesn't always happen when and how we want it too, but it does happen. I depend on my God all the time, I couldn't survive without him and prayer. Right now I am in an overwhelming situation, I have been doing lots of praying. I am doing my best to keep the faith that things will work out.

I am at this time, all we can do is take one day at a time and get through it. I try not to focus and worry about anything further than that day.

God is always there when we need help. I turn to him everyday with thanks or with my worries. Things I cannot control I send to him. Life is troubling and full of twists and turns. We cannot weather all of the storms that come our way on our own. We need shelter from the storm.

there are so many things that overwhelm me, I just try to do my best and get through them one by one, but it is like i am fighting a losing battle, but things are improving slowly but surely for me.

I often feel overwhelmed. I usually have a lot of things to do during the week like school work, house work and other things. I never get any help. I'm stared at as I talk to people asking for help or they leave so they don't get asked for help.
I also feel overwhelmed when things are just getting too crazy in my life and are not working out like they are supposed to. I don't get a lot of help in my life in general. Things are always going south so I feel overwhelmed when I have a lot of things that I really need to do, but those things aren't working out.
I just try to keep my mind occupied and off of those things. If I'm not too concerned about how they're working out and what not then I don't have to worry much about how overwhelmed I am.

At my age and with all the things that have happened in my life my theory is that if someone doesn't die or isn't going to die it's not a big deal and just deal with it as it comes up. I try not to worry about things that are out of my control. Someone once told me to just stay on my course.....not worry about what others are doing that you can't control..just do what you have to do for yourself. And basically that does work. If you don't let others guide what you need to do...things fall into place. And prayer does work....over and over again.

I often faces this situation due to my financial problem. When, I plan my budget for the month and think I can hang on to it until the end of the month without borrowing money. But then it can't never work right now, there's always sibling asking for help (money) and things that I can't control.
I turn to my boyfriend for comfort. Because he's the only one who understand my problem. He can always cheer me up.
