Which among the ten commandments is hard to follow?

Honestly? That would be the fourth commandment: "keep the Sabbath day and make it holy." Though I'm an active church volunteer I sometimes miss Sunday mass.

Though shall not commit adultery. Why? Just thinking about it is adulterous. I don't think that's possible for me right now where i'm at my peak. I'm not a maniac or something but sometimes it just pops up in my mind involuntarily. I don't that's easy to follow. It's everywhere: television, movies, songs or just around the corner. People would be thinking about "it" at least once every two days. If it's limited only to the act, then it would be a lot easier.

Well officially, i've learned in school that it's indeed a sin.

I think the difficult one is 'not to tell lies'. I end up telling small lies eventhough it doesn't hurt anybody or doesn't do a big harm to somebody. Now a days I am not going for Sunday mass often.I have to work on that. I have to find a church near my new hostel.

I agree that it's sometimes hard to tell the whole truth because sometimes a truth hurts :) Sometimes I'd prefer half-truths or white lies and that's one thing I'm improving on myself.

Today for the first time I read the ten commandments. Don't feel bad, but personally, I too felt same like Chiang_Mia_body for the first 4 points and that includes the one you are referring too. I have to say other all points are very nice and every one has to follow them with heart and that is the exact rightful living. I consider God as the relative truth, not the absolute truth.

For me, it's coveting the neighbour's oxen! Not literally, of course, but often if I see something I like that someone else has, I'll try and get something similar, but not exactly the same. Having just looked at what I've written, that's probably not coveting, as I don't envy them for what they have, I just get good ideas from other people. I also find it difficult to 'keep the Sabbath holy,' as we have a great Sunday market nearby, and we often have friends in for drinks or a meal on Sundays. It's not keeping one commandment, but it is 'loving thy neighbour,' as we get on very well with our neighbours. Interesting topic.

Thanks :) Sometimes I also miss Sabbath day because there are some Sundays that my cousins will visit us and of course I have to entertain them. But as you said 'loving your neighbor' is a greater commandment than keeping the Sabbath day, even Jesus violated the fourth rule just to keep up with the three greatest commandment :)
