i want to know that if there are somethings wrong: good morning, i am chris. today i am going to talk about topic 1, why do some people believe in fortune telling. people think fortune telling brings comfort and provides direction to them when they are confused. people are very much interested of knowing what will happen in their future. thats why people believe in fortune telling. i think if people were confident in themselves, they wouldn't turn to fortune telling. i used to believe in fortune telling. i wanted to know the things before it happened. but now, i don't believe in fortune telling anymore. i think fortune telling can not tell me what the things are going to happen. it can only help us to think in a positive way. thats the end of my presentation. thank you! ================================================================== is it bad? do anyone have any advice to improve my presentation?

: ) Its ok to be shy. Is this your first time? Try look at their nose or hair instead of their eyes. Remember to scan through the whole area of the class while talking, keep looking at a fix point in the class will make you look weird Stand still and do not shke too much while presenting. Good luck for your presentation : ) Last but not least, smile and be calm: )

Wow the presentation is really short, but whatever..... To be more organized and logical, you could first introduce the defenition of fortune telling so it gives a range of your discussion, and maybe the current situation of fortune telling in your society ( such as whether it's common?). Then you analyze the reasons behind the phenomene. You also talk about your personal experiences which could be a good example. Then you forge your argument and conclusion. I suppose that a good structure and clear logics are the basic requirement of a presentation in college.....

Hi there chrisching99! Just a suggestion though, to broaden your presentation, you can relate the effects of fortune telling in other fields you think are relevant. For example, you can relate the effects of believing in fortune telling to other fields like Guidance and Counseling. Do you think believing in fortune telling will really guide the students for a better path in life? Do you think believing in fortune telling is accurate in counseling? Or you can relate it to history.. Why do people in the past used to believe in fortune telling? Why do they used to believe in the signs of the stars? Are they proven accurate over time? Or you can relate it to science. Is there are scientific basis of the accuracy of fortune telling? You can also relate it to Psychology.. What could be the psychological effect of people believing in fortune telling? Just like what you said, do these people don't have enough confident in their selves? So yeah I suggest broadening your topic and making a final statement in the end or your central idea on the subject.. Try writing a rough draft and try researching for it on the internet. I hope I helped you. God bless with your English presentation
