There is a group on facebook called tell "D. Cheney to shut the hell up." would you join such a group? Why or why not? Should he get on board and support the current administration?

No, I would never join a hate group on Facebook regardless of who it was directed at. This may offend some people, but I think such groups are pathetic and completely pointless. What is their goal? The only goal is to find other people to help them with their Cheney-bashing. I feel the same way about the anti-Obama groups and all that other crap. It's a big waste of time and I don't want to be associated with it. For the second question, NO, he should not get on board with ANYTHING he doesn't believe in. I don't think it shows any class for a former VP to constantly criticize the new administration, but it's weak and disingenuous to support an administration you completely disagree with. Bush is doing the most appropriate thing in choosing to give them his silence.

It is not a hate group as such. They are people that are just tired of dealing with the policies of the former Bush administration. They were not sucessful when e was in office and they are not going to be successful now.

Of course it's a hate group. It's a group that is dedicated to preventing a man from exercising his right to free speech because they don't like what he has to say.

I don't think anybody is going to prevent the former VP from saying what he wants to say. The people that are in this group are not haters.

I would join it. I have no problem with someone speaking their mind, but I do have a problem with someone lying to the American people, and passing it off as fact. It is time for D!ck to put up, or shut up. If he wants to continue to spew lies, and try to rewrite history then he should be called out on it. You notice he isn't taking tough questions from media groups, he is mostly talking to right wing friendly host, who don't have the balls to ask him tough questions.

No, I wouldn't. I don't see how that is worthy of my time. Likewise, I wouldn't join a group on Facebook that was against the current administration. Simply because they don't seem to be valid in any big way. I mean, if I'm going to join a group that is anti-Obama, how mature would it be to call it 'Tell Obama to Shut the hell Up' group? For some people maybe they like groups like that, but if I'm going to join any group that is anti any politician, it has to be a heck of a lot more substantial than a curse word or two.

I really don't have time to join such a group and as much as I don't like the D1ck Cheney, it wouldn't be all that interesting or enjoyable to just chat with people who would all say pretty much the same things. Personally, I wish he would shut up already because I think it's HIM who is making us less safe more than the new Administration. However, I'd never say I think he should do a complete 180 and throw his support behind the Obama Administration because we'd all know he was being a hypocrite. He seems now to be toning down his rhetoric a bit and changing his stories. I wish he'd just go away...lol! Annie

I agree with that comment. I think his best bet is to get onboard with the new administration and stop trying to put his spin on things. he had eight years to "do it his way" so to speak, where has it really gotten us? The only thing that is positive is that we have not had another terror attack on American soil...Unfortunately it is probably only a matter of time however.

That is too funny. I wouldn't join a group like that eventhough I wish he would be quite just like his former boss Pres. Bush is doing. Pres. Bush has gain a small amount of respect in my eyes for being quite and letting to Obama Admin do what it thinks is best for the country. Its fine for him(cheney) to disagree with Obama just like it is ok for anyone to disagree with anyone but he is not helping anyone by trying to make his legacy look better. I know he cares about the country but he should give these new policies some time and stop making it seem like we all have to prepare bomb shelters again b/c we might close gitmo.

I wouldn't join it but I truly understand it. The reason I wouldn't join is because I don't want to waste my time on such a subject. Former Vice President Cheney needs to go far far away from the public eye. I don't think President Obama needs his kind of help....!

I think what Cheney says is like anythign else in the media.. Prs. Obama pays as much or as little attention to it as he chooses. If he hears what Cheney says at all, it is because he wants to.

I guess when Gore quits lying, Cheney might feel some reason to shut up. There is a custom among former presidents to not trash those who come after them. Carter seems to have missed that briefing. However, I don't know if the custom ever extended to former VPs.

I would not join such a group..it is stupid. Should Cheney get on board - No, last I heard Obama has not taken away our freedom of speech. If Obama can not take the heat, he should have not gone into the kitchen

No, I would not join that group and no, I don't think he should jump on board and support the current administration if that's not how he really feels. No one kept their mouths shut about how they felt about the Bush administration if they didn't support it so I fail to see the difference.

NO, i want to hear what he say. I hardly hear him talk in the past eight years as VP, with so much secrecy in the former executive branch, why i want him to shut up , not mentioning he has every right to talk in my country since it 's a free nation.

Hmm, your vice president needs to shut up eh? This could only mean he talks a lot? Our vice president says nothing at all, and does nothing to. I don't know how he sleeps at night.
