id have to say "the wall" off acapulco, 30 year's ago. since then because of hurricanes and constant tropical storms , plus govertments doing nothing ( because of unimportance) let them go and die. yearly i dive off different islands, and it;s pathetic, belize is most likely the best in the carribean, i have yet to get to tahati, and palu to dive but its comming.i live in florida and even the keys aren't the same anymore and its a shame. but now with gov't funding some are comming back and some reef's are starting to grow. i remember the color's of the wall, just layers of multi colored coral and fan's plus an array of tropical fish, sharks, and ray's. the mini fish cleaning the coral are a hoot to watch. that;s where i saw my first moray eel, nasty fellow;s they are.

the destruction is pretty depressing, people don't see it so it gets ignored. haven't been on that many dives yet (lot of snorkelling around south america though), learnt to dive off the scottish coast, in winter..., still pretty amazing though

Wow, I haven't yet dived in the UK (though its where I live!) because I'm pretty anxious about the cold lol. I did my first trial dive in Barbados which was fabulous - lots of turtles, a wreck and no wetsuit since it was so warm. I since learned to dive in egypt on holiday, in Marsa Alam, where the house reef was full of lionfish, small sharks, blue-spotted stingrays and brightly coloured coral. While there, we also snorkelled in Abu Dabab, which is also suitable for diving, and saw dugongs and the most enormous turtles I have ever seen!
