Use toothpaste in a apecial way

Toothpaste has also been reported to be useful for the treatment of scratches on the plastic surface of a CD. As it is a mild abrasive, the toothpaste buffs away the scratch so that the laser is able to read the information without interruption. Have you tried this mothod? Can you list another way to use toothpaste?

I use toothpaste to clean my jewelry. Tarnish is removed easily from silver with toothpaste.

I've never of heard of that, although I know about toothpaste and acne.
