I have stopped celebrating my birthday with a party since I became 20. We just go out to eat. But sometimes, my parents give me a party to be with my relatives. Do you still celebrate your birthday with a party? When did you stop and why?

It never stopped because it never started. :) I had never had my birthday celebrated with a party because my family was poor while I was still young and thus celebrating birthday by itself was already a luxury. Not only I had not celebrate my birthday with a party but also not having received birthday presents in the past... In fact I didn't know it is common that people will receive birthday presents at their birthday back then. These years, things changed and thus we do celebrate birthdays for the other family members. But we usually only go out and have a nice dinner and that's all.

I strongly condem to celebrate the birthy day parties. In birthy parties people are going to drink the liquours and dancing with the women/girls. I hate this type of parties.

You could always just hang out and eat without drinking too much and without girls, you know.

Hello laydee, the only time I had a birthday party was when I was 16. I was able to invite a few friends but mainly family was there. It was a pizza party and unfortunatly that day I had to heve my braces tightened on my teeth so I couldn't even eat any pizza without feeling pain.Tonight my family will be going out to dinner to help celebrate my b/f birthday only it is in a couple days but only he will not be here on his birthday so tonight will be his dinner. On my birthday one of my nephews will be graduating so I get looked over AGAIN on my birthday because the same thing happened last year with my oldest nephew graduating on my birthday.Oh well I will survive, I don't need a party.

I guess sooner or later the parties becomes boring, specially if you do get to see each other every month! hehehe.. Yeah, we will survive without parties.

I seldom hold a party. The most important reason is that we are all very busy. I think the most important thing in birthday is receive best wishes from my daer friends and relatives. If I have time I'll consider a party. But eating out is also a effective way. Happy today!

Well, most of the time they no longer give gifts anyways when parties are celebrated. It's more of 'being here is my gift to you'.

I never really had parties growing up. I only hung around a certain group of friends and they use to come over and spend the night and we would order pizza and just hang out. As I got older we use to go out to dinner or something. My birthday is on the 24th and I am just planning to go to a club and get VIP with like 5 or 6 six girls.

I had a birthday party only once in my life. It just wasn't and isn't important in my family. We do wish each other happy birthday, but that's it.

I still celebrate my birthday but no party at all. I just cooked food and let them eat. I never celebrated my birthdays with a big party ever since because I hated big gatherings, it made me nervous.

My last birthday party was at age 60 and I thoroughly enjoyed the pleasure of reaching another glorious year in life. I think every single birthday should be celebrated with something. My personal favorite would be a glorious evening of dining and dancing.

The last time I had a party for my birthday was when I turned sixteen. When I turned 21 I did have a few but I dont know if I would actually call them parties but maybe kinda. My friends and I just like went out for drinks. Now I just go out to eat at my favorite restaurants with my family and friends.

I usually celebrate my birthday with a party when i was little. I stopped celebrating it with a party after my 13th birthday. I don't feel having a party on the succeeding birthday because i then thought that it is only for children. I celebrate my birthday now with my friends...

Hello laydee. I don't celebrate my birthday party, but a couple of few times when I was young. I usually spend my birthday by eating something I like a lot. Each time when my birthday comes, it makes think that I am getting older. I hate this thought of feeling. Of course, it is a blessing to have a birthday year in and year out. So I wish to enjoy as many happy birthdays as possible. Life is great. I love it, so I welcome the arrival of each of my birthday.

I still celebrate my birthday but not as expensive as i used to.I guess I'm too old for that nowadays.lol..I'm turning 25 this coming June 5 and I do not have plans on spending alot for my birthday. Maybe I would just dine out or maybe prepare an extra special meal. But no more cakes, flowers and the baloon stuffs. Not unless my boyfriend will pay for it.lol.. Seriously, I would rather save the money for something much more important than splurging it to throw a birthday party for myself.

I an now 38 and the only time i can think that i had a party was when i was about 10 years old. When it is my birthday i go out with a few friends of mine the same as they do when it is their birthday. We go out for a few drinks have a laugh the same as we would once a week except we tell people in the pub who is the birthday girl as that way they get extra drinks.I think a drink at the pub is a better idea than a party as it is more relaxed for every one not just that when you get older it is not the same as when i was a teen.

I don't like the form of celebrating my birthday with a big party. Surely, you will be happy, blessedness if receive your friends, relatives' benediction or gifts. Be likely to my silence character , I dislike too noisy or clamour entironment. So when my birthday, I would rather get through it with my hubby and daughter. it's enough.
