If you cant sleep at night, what do you find is the most effective way to get to sleep? I sometimes find listening to music helps, but what other ways can anyone recommend? I always wake up feeling tired, spend the whole day feeling exhausted and keep telling myself "i will go to bed early tonight" and then it get to the evening and my brain just wakes up! I feel wide awake, even when my body feels physically drained. Any recommendations?

hi there, well i do have the same problem as you now and then actually. well i usually sleep late actually after doing some of my work and some of my assignements. Well i would usually feel really very sleepy and tired but then when i hit the bed i just cant fall asleep that i sreally very very irritaing actually. furstheremore especially when you actually have a early day the next morning and it just hurts you so bad to know that yo need to get just alittle bit of sleep. Well some of the things i actually do at those period of time is actually try to listen to a bit of music. Well i would take sometime to actually fall asleep but it actually works after awhile. I am also going to try doing some exercise the next time and tired myself out and see if it actually works. Well anyway happy mylotting and have great day ahead. best regards, alvingb

Have a daily sleep pattern dear. Like sleep daily at a certain time fixed and get up at certain time no matter what. Then your eyes get shut automatically.

Taking some over the counter medicines for sleeping problems will help you out a lot and you can get a good night sleep and feel great when you wake up. You might still feel exhausted depending on when you have to wake up those medicines do require a certain amount of sleep so be careful of that of course. I have problems sleeping and take benedryl every night to be able to sleep and i still wake up in the middle of the night most times but i end up going back to sleep so i think medicines of course is the way to go if your having problems.

Yeah i did think about getting something like that, might look into it. Not sure what it is though really. Once i settle down and try to sleep im only maybe awake for up to half an hour but i just dont feel like i want to go to bed up till that point. I could go to bed at 1am one night, get up at 7am and still happily stay up till 1am or later the next night
