do u believe that laughing buddha brings good luck to u..?? more so, mom says that if u gift it to someone then ur luck goes off to that person...I was very fond of gifting laughing buddha to all those who need some luck..but now fear..can u help me in this regard..??

I don't think your good luck goes to the other person and only good can come of being generous enough to gift any item to anybody. My mum often says she can't give money away because every time she helps someone she wins or finds money.

We Buddhists don't actually believe in charms. We become buddhists because we wanna learn more about Buddha's teachings. We salute to the statue of Buddha because Buddha's teachings have helped us a lot in many ways, and we feel that we should salute to his symbol. Real buddhists don't salute to his statue for good-luck, even some buddhists are doing so because of the confusion between Buddhism and their local tradition.
