Listening to the news this morning i heard that this young guy from a prominent family in some city in Egypt who has been begging for his dads permission to marry a girl from a lower class family actually heated a knife and cut off his male part.Unfortunately it wasnt able to be reattacted but he survived.Do you think its right for us to determine someones worth by wealth?Would you allow your child to marry someone less fortunate?

Ok, what this young man did was very extreme. Actually, his parents might have some legit concerns. Or, the whole fam might be just a bit wacky. Ultimately, financial wealth does not completely define a person. I would hope that my children would marry someone who is wealthy in character, love and goodness. I don't know that I could stop my child from marrying someone who they really loved. And, I wouldn't mind, either, as long as that person wasn't out to take advantage of my child.
