Euro elections in UK tomorrow - are we excited or NOT?

Well it's predicted that all the major parties will get a right panning, as a result of all the over-claiming on expenses. Hopefully, some, yes some, of the smaller parties will get a chance like the Greens or even Animals Count. Animals Count say they are for both people and animals. As the human population expands on the planet, the other animals are getting an increasing rougher deal. Just so long as some of the nationalist parties don't attract too many votes, such as the British National Party. UKIP or United Kingdom Independence Party aren't quite as bad, but still a little barmy in various ways. We also have county council elections at the same time. What is deathly boring are the same old tired election slogans on some of the billboards along the highway. "Vote for change - vote for the same old, tired Conservatives!"..... Well I just made that one up! But the billboard might as well as said that, as they have nothing new to offer the electorate. What is for sure, is that we're in the age of vacuous campaign slogans. Politicians in general seem so afraid of offending people. The bigger parties in the UK at least seem to be in the pockets of various large organisations, and don't really show much concern for the individual voter... Do elections excite you??? Or is it the case that you can't be arsed to vote?

Worried or what, not excited ,decided to vote green in Euro elections ,conservatives in the local election. There does not seem to be any alternatives ,as we don't want the monster raving looney party in.labour can whistle, don't forget the labour have allowed this expense nonsense to get so bad,did not think it would ever be public knowledge did they.Disgusting I call it.They are supposed to party for the working man.All they seem to do is help themselves it comes to something when Alister Darling is at it as well.Made a mistake he says and he is really sorry, only sorry he got found out,if the chancellor of exchequer makes mistakes with his pocket money as many think it is,whats he doing to the economy, like you I am confused about what to do but one thing I do know is we must all vote for something sensible or the country will end up in a right old state, good discussion thank you.x

Sounds like a good choice for the Euro election. As for the local election, I think this should be more about local politics, if that is possible! Where I voted there was only a choice between the three main parties. I very nearly spoilt my vote for that, as nationally they all seem as bad as each other. Certainly in the expenses scandal, they all seemed as a herd... "what can I milk the system for?". It is also good to have a long memory in politics... I remember the Thatcher and Major years when we had a Tory government, AND they were not always a pretty sight! It also has to be said that Labour seem to be running true to form right now - more than ever, in that they have racked up the most ginormous public debt ever! So bad that the UK is in danger of losing it's AAA credit rating! If we lose that it will become even more expensive for the government to borrow money from all those overseas investors. It seems to be a bleak financial future, for the UK on the course we're on at the moment. More taxes, less government services such as the NHS, social services, ... I could go on, but I won't!

Guess you must have someone worth voting for to make it worth the effort!
