Jerry Springer how does it stay on the air?

I have been wondering this too. It is the worst show on TV and it stays on for almost I think close to 20 years WHY!! They cancel really well written shows on TV and keep garbage like that on. I will never understand.

My grandmother has it on right now! It's a terrible show and if you start watching it, you quickly get bored. I think it's cause viewers love to see the drama and they also love to watch someone get beat up! Your absolutely right about Maury though, either he's finding out someone's baby daddy or has a show that is showcasing young childrens' talents. It's a shame.

Maury and Jerry Springer don't even air in my area anymore. Thank goodness.

I hate that show so bad... they are just same old and same old. another thing is fighting over and over again on the same thing. And about Maury show, "who's my baby's daddy?" come on, you know but why you still act like you dont know. it is a shame if you dont know who is your baby's daddy. too much sleeping around... lolz. well, i think it is just bad but most people still love them tho

I think those shows are completely disgusting. And to think they do it all for ratings, which apparently means they get more people to watch when they do shows like this. Maury's show was never like that a long time ago, and then he copied Jerry Springer... I loved Jerry Springer on the "America's Got Talent", and "Dancing with the Stars"...he really showed a side of himself that you don't see on his day show. It amazes me that he is willing to host a show like this. I flip thru these channels, and don't give them the time of day. Maybe someday, everyone else will be disgusted with them, and they will take them off the air.

I didn't even realize that show was still on!! It was funny many moons ago like you said. I remember a thanksgiving special where the family had a thanksgiving dinner on stage and started a big food fight. It was hilarious. But then it just started to get more and more outrageous and FAKE. Maury is the same way with the baby daddy thing. Are there really that many people who don't know their baby's daddy? I think a lot of times they do it just for the freebies, free trips, free hotels, and a lot of times the show gives them stuff too.

I have never watched those types of shows. I can't imagine why people find them entertaining, it really says something about our population and how stupid they are. I was really sad when I heard about Maury Povich's show. He used to be a legitimate journalist before he sank to the depths he is now. I really think sometimes that we should find out who watches this type of show and take away their voting rights. We'd probably have a much better caliber of "public servants".

Yeah, I wondered the same thing one day when I went to visit my hubby at work and they had this on. It was some ridiculous thing too like a guy who likes to dress and be treated like a baby, and there were these wives treating these grown men like babies... letting them do it in their diaper and everything. OMG. I sat there horrified going "Are you f'ng serious?? You have got to be kidding me?" And my husband and all the guys he works with were just standing there chuckling, because they watch this everyday, so it doesn't amaze them anymore, and all the people on that side of town watched it too, so nobody seemed phased by it anymore, but here I am with my jaw on the floor because I didn't think society could get that low. What really gets me is that these idiots actually go on national TV and tell the world about their drama! I mean come on, no matter how bad I was, I'd never proudly announce to the world that I slept with over 100 guys, at 14 years old, and that I now may be pregnant by my father who come to find out is also my brother but my mom's cheating on him with another girl.

Jerry Springer is bad, but I still can't help but watch it. Whether it is staged or not, it still makes me feel so much better about my life. And it's not always whos my baby's daddy. I don't watch it on a regular basis and will totally admit it is stupid, but at the same time I can't drag my eyes away when it is on. I usually only watch it if i am home sick from work, if that. I will say he is more then willing to make fun of himself, maybe that's why I like him, but Ringmaster i hilarious, and I usded to own it.
