Does anyone have any really good calamari recipes? I found one on allrecipes that looks delicous but it takes ton of ingredients to make. I was looking for one that was delicious that might not be so expensive to make. Thanks!

I like squid and I also like it when it is deep fry we called it here calamares. It is my favorite recipe when we have squid I suggest to my Mother to cook it that way. My favorite dip is vinegar and put some slices of cucumber. You can try cook it as adobo. Saute the garlic and onions put the squid then add some soy sauce, black pepper, add small amount of water then put vinegar at the end. Put salt according to your taste.

Calamari can be a nice addition to most pasta dishes. as long as you don't over cook it.

I have a little experiment of calamari and it turns good to me. I love squid and I always do experiment to have a good food with a low budget. Of course, I slice the squid into small circular form and put a little pinch of salt and pepper. Then I roll it over to a beaten egg and cornstarch. I deep fry it until golden brown. My dip for it is vinegar with salt and pepper or mayonnaise with pepper.
