Can High Heels help me?

Is it really true that wearing high heels will change how people look at you? They say you will look more confident, more powerful.. more in tune with yourself.. I never really liked wearing high heels, its uncomfortable plus I easily loose my balance.. I just started wearing one at the office.. and I must admit.. it really helped me boost my confidence.. But that does change how people look at me?

It'll the increase the time in which they look at your legs and backside. I tried to wear high heels as a means of boosting self confidence. It just ended up making me more self aware. Of course, I'm a dude, so I'm sure heels weren't meant for me in the first place. *cough*

I am not big on high heels. I work in an office though surrounded by women mainly and they mostly wear heels. So recently i bought heels for my work. Well I am 5'3 and like the feeling of heels making me feel taller and more confident about my appearance.

I have always been jealous of those women who go to work with their 3 inch heels.. walking in the lobby oozing with self confidence.. When I first wore my high heels to work, I was so conscious how it looks on me, how my legs look, and if I look more confident. LOL.

hello there! my friend is fond of using high heels but not too high just enough that she can carry very well. she is fond of using it because she feels that she is short at 5'1" so she use it to add some inches and true it makes her look better and taller. and so it adds confidence on her. me, i just use high heels occasionally. when i was still working i use it in office, its more professional and appropriate. but there are some who use high heels that instead to look better, they just look weird, because they don't carry it well, they walk like i don't know and they sometimes look funny...i saw one in a mall using high heels and she is obviously having difficulties in walking with that high heeled shoes. my husband can't help himself ask me, why some girls use that kind of shoes when they have difficulties in walking and he thinks that its not appropriate using it at malls and it does not look good with that girl. so as a conclusion i think, wearing high heels to look better, depends on the one using it, on the ocassion and situation. and yes it do helps you when properly used. and plus, it makes our legs look longer & sexier?...mmmmm have a nice day!

I agree that high heels are more appropriate and professional.. I too only wear them in the office.. but other than that, you won't catch me wearing one. LOL. For me, I guess wearing them in the office really makes me look more professional, specially in my line of work, I need my clients to look at me like I mean business and that I know everything there is to know. LOL

Personally, I don't think high heels will make any different in ones' look(unless is those super high ones, like 3-inches and above..), but it changes the way a person walk. They have to walk in a proper and more 'careful' manner, especially for 'beginner' else they will lose balance and falls everywhere. Thus, makes them look more graceful and elegant compare to normal.

I agree.. when I wear flat shoes, people say I walk like a pregnant woman ( I am really not sure what does that mean. LOL)... But when I'm in the office and I wear high heels, they say I walk like a true professional.. I guess it really helps my posture in some way... Thanks for responding to my question! =)

i suppose that you just carry yourself very well with high heels that's why people look at you well. i know because i'm not wearing high heels yet i'm confident coz it's more comfortable wearing flat shoes. i feel uneasy and stupid whenever i wear high heels.. it's not about the heels actually. it's all about your confidence.

You know, how people look at you depends on how you see your own self. If wearing high-heeled shoes can boost your confidence and you really look and feel confident, then, people will see you that way -- confident. I do believe that improving yourself is one way of making yourself feel better. Wearing high-heeled shoes won't change the way people see you but it will definitely make you feel better about yourself and everything else will follow...

I think Heels are for those who can wear them. everyone doesn't look good in them because like you said some can't walk they feel uncomfortable and it just doesn't work. Yet heels do inhance your appeareance the slope of the hell raises your calf muscle and makes you look slimmer by adding height to your legs I love them, but they have to be a certin height for me to wear them. I have a friend who wore her heels to go walking at lunch to get some cardio, and I asked what was she doing and where were her tennis shoes and she said she feels lost without her heels LOL go figure :o)

High heels add to your looks if you know how to wear them. You have to have the back straight and your legs straight. When you walk, your knees have to be normal too. I've seen so many women with high heels that were looking like camels. Back and knees bended. That's hilarious. But if you know how to wear them, than, they make you sexier, and yes, people look at you. Regarding the confidence, it's something that you have to learn to have it even without high heels. But it's always great to have them!

The extra lift in height gives of a more towering and superior appearance. Plus I think it forces the chest out a little bit so that the umm... "twins" seem to appear bigger. If you're gonna wear them be sure to take them during lunch break because the lower back can be misaligned if you use them nonstop continuously, it could lead to a slip disk if you wear them constantly for many years.

I always wear high heels when i go out with my friends where as when i am at home i wear trainers.I wear them as ,they can be worn with all my clothes and it gives me a bit more height. That way people do not talk down to me as well as that is how i used to feel when i went out.

honestly high heels are just sexy. it will always change how you look it if you take the time to put on a good pair of heels then the rest of your body just falls into place and yeah it brings about a certain aura of confidence and appeal

I've always thought that high heels always make people at work look more professional and very confident. However I wouldn't have the confidence myself to wear them to work, but thats probably sensible as I work in a busy pub and I am usually rushed off my feet, I'd more than likely end up breaking bones if I started wearing high heels to work. I believe that even when you wear high heel it makes you feel better about your overall appearance for those of us who are insecure. I think that people will look at you differently now that you wear high heels to work as they will think, oh look at her, and wish that they had the confidence to dress as powerful as you or even 'pull it off' if you get me. Hope this helped you. Cayla, x

Hi there, I, myself, have been wearing high heels ever since college. Well, you should first learn how to walk with them because it's quite different with flat shoes. When you get the hang of wearing them, then you'll be confident to strut down that street and look sexy with it. I must admit that wearing high heels makes a woman sexier because it adds up your height. But the most important thing is that you, yourself, are confident with what you are.

Well, are you actually more comfortable with wearing high heels? If you feel unusual with them (ie. too different in terms of class, or perhaps simply clumsy), stick to more sensible footwear. Remember not to worry about how others look at you if you can look at yourself and feel good. Make change for yourself, and not for others if they think it will help you and you don't think so. Remember what is really 'change for others'. If it doesn't benefit anyone, don't do it. If you like the change, you might experiment with it for some time, and then choose whether or not to ditch the high heels. I think the best kind of anything is the kind that helps you grow in character and fit yourself. Don't be fooled by things that improve the appearance thereof of you. Be the way you are. Change only for the better. Is it confusing? If it is, you're working on it. That's great!

I never see who is wearing what and what the height is?Confidence comes from your body language and behavior patterns. Most famous people are short and yet they can command their demands. So,I don't think heels can bring you respect from others. But if you feel you are comfortable then continue.Else skip the idea.Cheers!
