Scrapbooking/Goin Away combined day.........

United States

Well as some of you know I'll be moving back to Texas at the end of June, after helping my daughter and son-in-law move in their new house! After the move, my daughter is hosting a scrapbooking day, since the girls want to get together for one last scrapbooking day before I leave for Texas. It will also be a going away party for me. As well as I will be making the announcement to my daughter and friends about my upcoming marriage in September!!! which will be my surprise to them! lol. My daughter is also planning a 4th of July/House-warming/Birthday party for her hubby, for July 4th. Have you ever combined several events into one celebration? If so, how did you decide on the main theme of the party/event?

Usually if things like that were combined, it was with a birthday. Lol. We of course have combined birthdays as well. I can't think of any time except for maybe with my uncle's ex wife's birthday, which was around Christmas. Of course I think we may not have had a separate cake. I can't think of any time my birthday has been celebrated like that except with another uncle's ex wife... lol. I hope your move is smooth! Have fun with your family! Oh and Congratulations! I am also getting married in September!

Well congratulations to you as well! If ya don't mind me asking......what day in September? The only birthdays that fall close together are mine and my youngest daughter's, her's is the day after mine, but we always kept them seperate. I didn't want her to have to share her day with me.

No not at all, it's the 26th. I believe I read somewhere else here on mylot that someone else is also getting married in September. We wanted to have it on our actual dating anniversary but that would have been a monday. I'm sure your daughter loved having her own special day.

Well, I'll be married for a week when you get married! LOL It's planned for the 19th, it will be 6 months to the day from when he turned his Claddagh ring to show he belonged to someone. That is an Irish ring, given to him years ago by his mother. Turned one way it means you are available, turned the other way means you belong to someone, in case you weren't familiar with a Claddagh ring hehe.

If I'm following you LOL (been a very long week of painting and moving my daughter lol) It didn't change That someone's mind lol. I'm marrying a firefighter that I knew 8 years ago, we lost touch for about 5 years, until I moved to my daughter's! And then we both admitted to the feelings we had had all along! :-) And thanks! I'm happy myself! lol

well, we used to have a shared birthday party with me and The Doctor (the show Doctor Who started on my birthday, only a decade later) so we would have a birthday/costume party Needless to say, since it was a Doctor Who club, it was a Doctor Who party more than my birthday, but it made me feel special too.
