Last night we watched a movie, Salaam Namaste. It is about these two people who drive each other nuts but somehow end up living together. If I had seen this a few days sooner I would have added this one to my helium article on movies for people who hate Valentines Day. It was really funny, though a little hard to follow some times even with the subtitles because the people spoke so fast and they switched back and forth between English and another language. A couple of the characters were a bit extreme in the stereotypical sense and some of the physical comedy was a bit much but we enjoyed it and we laughed a lot. Has anyone else seen this movie?

This sounds like a good Hindi movie. I think from the title it is a Hindi movie. I love both Tamil and Hindi movies, because my parents love to watch them too, since I was young. Therefore, I've developed the habit to watch. Also, I also love other foreign movies like in French, Italian and whatnot. Thanks for sharing this.

Not someone, but the language being used I think is Hindi. If I'm right; I'm no linguist.. I love both Tamil movies and Hindi movies...

I am really not sure what qualifies someone as Hindi but the characters are supposed to be Indians living in Australia.

It would be nice to know how to recognize the languages and the differences but it's not like you can just grab a Berlitz tape. Are your parents Indian? You stated previously that they like to watch Tamil and Hindi movies.

I don't really like watching Hindi movies. I find them weird when so many people start dancing to a song like they rehearsed it but they make it look like and normal everyday thing which I find totally unrealistic.

That part is a bit much sometimes but I was big on classic American movie musicals when I was young. The ones from India are really interesting because it's like watching a long music video or something.

Oh, I am glad that you found tht movie intersting. I am from India and I hd watched this movie a couple of year ago. I love this movie's actress, Preity Zinta, she is one of my favorite film star. Her smile is the best smile in Indian film industry. I have seen it and it say something about live in relationship. I don't remember, do they end up marrying each other?

They move in together and she ends up pregnant. Nick doesn't want to wed or have kids so they fight for a while until he comes to his senses, lol. Preity is very pretty. I saw another movie called "Finding Preet" based on a true story and I think the female star had the same name. The meaning has something to do with love, right?
