I am a freelance web designer, writer and tutor, and used to spend 6 hours in front of the computer at most. Recently, I have ventured into blogging and GPT programs and I now spend up to 15 hours online Aside from my online work, i love to surf, chat and play online games too. Now I am wondering... Am i going overboard? Have i become an internet addict? Tell me....

Yeah it sounds like you may have become an addict, but hey that is not a bad thing if you are putting your time to use in blogging and gpt programs. I think in this day in age it is very hard not to get addicted to the computer and all what it has to offer. I know I enjoy it very much. I hope that I am not becomeing an addic. but if I am oh well it is and enjoyable hobby. I am still looking for a real online job. Do you have any suggestions.

Hi friend, First of all welcome to my lot site.It is good you are gaining and earning lot from internet. It is great job, here almost every one are being addicted to this site because of earning and communicating with lots of people around the world sitting at one place.I am also a part time addictor to internet.I also spend almost 7 hours sitting in front of the computer by simply browsing for some wonderful things in the internet. In my view what i feel is beside working on internet we have take care of our health and our relationships. Well I get up, take a shower, get dressed, make the bed, make the coffee, get the kids up and power up the laptop. Check my personal email and mylot before heading to work. At work I am lucky to be able to keep the interenet up all day. So I periodically checking mylot and other sites, reading CNN and keeping an eye on the weather. Then I get home make dinner, clean up, help with homework and then power up when the TV goes on. This world is very different from how I grew up. I think the internet revolutionized the world but it also made families grow apart. It is not unusual for each member of the family to go off onto their own computers and not interact with each other. How sad is it that most of the conversations take place via IM and email? I try to set aside one night a week for a family night of games and fun.

Hey, I am a student, and I spend all of my time on Internet. I have made good on line friends and surf sites according to my whims. I am spending around 16 hours a day here. But I won't call it Internet addict because what we are doing is for our enjoyment and knowledge purpose. You can call yourself an Internet addict if you have some other work to do but instead you are playing games or doing other irrelevant stuff. That's where d term addicted will come. As long as you have control over your self and manage to do other important thing in life, there is no harm in surfing for 15 hours. Though I would suggest you to take some rest in between and try to skip the Internet once in a while, so that you can remain safe from harmful addiction.
