How do we get the kids to eat their greens? It's an age old question. Now,the mothers get together to discuss around the children on what to eat,but always no avail. One mother said that one of her children would not eat no meat, the meat almost every meal must have be enogh.Another mother said her child was very thin,he refused to eat meat,he is a natural vegetarian. But a mother was worrying about her child, who is super specially designed for overweight children,he never choose food, eat everything, weight increase... How can we let children eat great? How it seems that children preferences affect us?

I cant say I've ever had a problem here. All my children love their meats and veggies. I cant think of a single veggie they dont like. My children can be picky but nothing major. All fruits, veggies and meats are taken care of with out a problem. I do know some people who have trouble feeding their children because they are just too picky. For me when my children were younger I didnt really give them much of a choice. I guess I just got some pretty easy going children. :)

My daughter eats really well. I enjoy vegetables and have always encouraged my daughter to try them at least. When she was small we used to make villages and games out of food, to make meals more interesting. We had mashed potatoes as mountains and broccoli as trees. Usually though she eats what is given to her as her father and I are not picky eaters and we don´t force her to eat more than she wants so meal time isn´t an issue. If there is a particular food item she doesn´t like I blend it into either a soup or gravy or a bolognaise sauce. You can hide lots of vegetables and meats in sauces, omlettes, quiches and pies so your children still get the goodness of food without the argument and stress of meal time battles. If I know my daughter likes something but doesn´t want to eat it then I won´t give her anything else instead. She soon realised to eat the food then she could have a little treat and not before. I think if you start giving good examples to food when children are small and encourage them to eat a good variety then it will stay with them as they get older and provide a good grounding for decent mealtimes.

It's best to give them the things you want them to like as soon as they're eating solid foods. Plus always lead by example, eat what you want them to eat and thier more likely to give things a try. My daughter is a picky eater, but so are her father and I. We still eat healthy though.
