I would check whether my parents are safe. If yes, I would save myself. The thing I can take would be my mobile...I can't take my computer or TV or anything else right??

I would do that too. But I have a desktop and not a laptop. It's hard to see my desktop burning.

Fires scare me so much...I think they're almost the saddest tradgedy to happen!! I would save my pictures and stuffed animals. (Yes, I am still a stuffed-animal junkie...I always will be!!!) What would you take??

Hi there JB! Since the kids are already safe and I assume all my other loved ones who live in our house, I will take the important documents which I keep in folders in my study table in the bedroom. I will also grab the money that I have in the house.

can i take 2, since they can be easily picked up. i'd take my bag because my wallet and ids are tehre, and our documents which is kept in a plastic envelope, it's easy to reach, and it will be the first one in my mind. i hate to lose those, since some of the documents there will be hard to get another copy, and there are also some there that there is no more copy.

Am I allowed two things? The first - and most important - would be my wedding album. I got married in 2000, and the album was done the old fashioned way. I would hate for all those memories to just go up in smoke, as several of our guests are no longer with us, and they looked so happy that day. The next thing would be my laptop. I write for several sites, and have all my writing and loads of photos and contacts stored on ther, so it would be very awkward if I lost it. Having said that, I could probably get copies of a lot of the stuff from the websites if I needed to, but I could never replace my wedding album. Nice topic.

House is on fire! - Of course, I'd see to it that all members of the family are safe, including the pets. Then I'd take my son's CPU in his room, the box with important documents, money, clothes, in that order.
Important documents such as land and house title, car registration, etc. clothes, money in that order. Of course I'll pick up the CPU of my son since it's his main means of livelihood should he fail to bring it. It's priority number 1 assuming that all family members and pets are safe. We need to mentally prepare ourselves for it 'coz emergencies just happen when we least expect them. Presence of mind is key, so this discussion is good because it gave me a chance to consider my options and priorities in case of fire.

My car keys, (my purse tends to always be in the car anyways so i wouldnt have to grab that) and the nearest basket of clean laundry - i have a habbit of having a couple weeks worth of clothing folded in the basket but not put away its like a suitcase but not closed! It would be nice to be able to grab the sentimental things like photo albums or my laptop...But id go for the clothing first Id hate to have to be naked!
