Well,I think prayers differ with ages.In my school days,my prayer was to get the first rank in class. Then in my teens,I prayed to get the girl,I love. After that,I prayed to get rich. Now,I pray for accepting whatever it comes and remain in peace. So,how about your prayers?

I mostly thank Allah for all His blessings like giving me the gift of life. I pray that I don't get mislead by satan. I pray for my family, all Muslims and all of humanity. I pray that Allah give me strength to follow the right path which would lead me to Heaven and save me from Hell, I pray the same for my loved ones. I pray that people accept Islam so that they may go to Heaven. I pray for knowledge. I pray for people in crisis. (I have been very honest in my response and don't want to hurt anyone).

I did mention I pray for all of humanity. I also pray that everyone finds the right path to Heaven (by reading about Islam). I also pray to Allah for all those who are in crisis.

I think you should extend your prayers to the whole humanity rather than confining to Muslims alone. It would be nice if you include everybody.Cheers!

Hmm.. Well Prayers differ with age, experience in life, your relationship with God, love for others, so on ...... Ans to your Q? For Him to lead and guide my family and me in the path that He chooses for us. For we know that what HE chooses will be the right and best for us.

As a kid I used to pray for anyone who needed prayer support. Not in a big way but in the little small ways that I knew. Praying for silly things? I dont think I have ever done that. I always saw a friend in God. I used to speak to Him rather than ask Him for anything that is about myself. Prayers hardly for myself. I preferred to speak my heart out and I am fine out of pain. I know its difficult to understand or digest but thats how I was. Probably thats because of my mom, how she used to adore God and being in His presence.I kind of liked that and followed suit. Even now I only ask for guidance or myself and family as I mentioned before. Prayers always for everyone else

Oh these days I have no specific petition, I'm just thanking God for a great summer I have had in my student days :) This is my last summer as a student and I had many great experiences in my previous summers and that's what I'm really grateful about today ;) Next summer I'll be very busy for job hunting and board review so probably I would no longer enjoy traveling to places with my family. Maybe my current prayer would be for God to guide me in my studies and guide my family as well. I don't know I'm just overwhelmed these days with blessings God is giving me so just many thank yous to God for all these things.

Great!I wonder your maturity to thank god.Yes!In fact we all should thank god fro what he has given to us.We need not pray to him for this and that.He knows very well what we need at any moment.Cheers!

Yeah you're really right that prayer differs in your maturity level. When I was young my sole wish was to have lots of toys but when I grew older I realize there are many things to life than those toys.. ;) It's because we have an artificial dream and a soul dream, and the soul dreams are those that are God's will in our deepest desires. And if you found out your deepest desires, it will be easier for your prayers to be granted. take care and God bless

Hi srganesh, To me life itself is a prayer, the infinite knows our every thought and there is no need to ask. We cannot inform the infinite mind of something it does not already comprehend. To acknowledge this and give thanks will bring peace of mind and acceptance. Blessings.

That is great Ganesh - accept everything as it comes and remain in peace. It is a great thought. My husband had gone to USA, his native. I am waiting to get my visa processed at the earliest. So, my first prayer to god is to get my visa ASAP. I also have some problems related to work. So, my second prayer is to have a peaceful work atmoshpere. The list continues.........it will extended the maximum characters allowed in this place.

What is your current prayer to God? Well I don't want to be mean but I have to be frank and say that my current prayer to God is between me and God. Prayer is a very personal thing and it's not meant to be shared with others not unless the person that's doing the praying don't mind sharing. So I will only say this, that I pray for world peace and that should be good enough to share with you for right now.......... take care and happy mylotting!BTW sometimes prayers are meant to be shared corporately but when an individual is praying I feel it's mostly just between me and God. Hope you can understand.

Well, the prayers are our imagination to satisfy ourselves that someone is listening and there is an spritual being who is interested in us otherwise whatever we got in this world is purely our efforts.

Purely materialistic and practical answer. We have to put our own efforts to achieve anything. But prayers give us mental strength to achieve our dreams.Won't you agree?

Really strange! What makes you think like that?Is he suffering from any serious ailments so that you can't see his sufferings or he is so cruel on your part?I can't figure out the reason behind your prayers!
