Hey mylot, does anyone actually chew tobacco or know anyone who does? Has anyone tried it before? If so, can you take a few seconds just to help me out and fill out these questions for me please? You can either message me and I can email the attachment or you can look at the questions posted and answer it right here. It would really help me out. Thank you so much. -Can you tell me about something that you have tried to change in the last two years? -What was going on in your life that made you want to change? -What made you want to change this about yourself? (for example: friends, parents, the media) When you decided to change ________, how did you go about it? What is the first step that you took? How successful were you in making this change? What was the MOST helpful thing that you did to make this change? Why was this so helpful to you? What were things that made it HARD for you to change? In what ways did these things make it hard for you to change? Were there any people who did not want you to make this change? Who were they? How did these people make it hard for you to change? In what ways do you think this way of changing _______ would work for other young men/women your age? In what ways do you think this way of changing [insert behavior] would NOT work for other young men/women your age? In your opinion, why do you think young men/women who are college aged (18-24) start to use smokeless tobacco? Name as many reasons you can think of. Which of these do you think is the most important reason? _________________ OK, now I would like to get your opinion about what you would tell young men/women who are college aged to keep them from starting to use smokeless tobacco? What are some of the things that you would tell them? Please give details. Let's say that you could make a PSA on TV to keep young men and women from starting to use smokeless tobacco....I’d like for you to tell me what you think it would be like. (what would the characters, images, slogan, dialog, action, etc be like?) Sometimes people say they start to use smokeless tobacco for various reasons. Here are some common reasons people might give: 1) to lose or maintain body weight 2) to fit in better with their friends 3) to handle stress 4) to socialize with their friends 5) to help focus better Which one of these 5 would you say is most important? So let's say that you wanted to make a PSA for a specific type of young man or woman -- say the type who began to use smokeless tobacco so that they could _________ (most important reason from list). What are some of the things that would make an effective PSA under those circumstances? How would it be different from the one you described earlier?
