My whole life my mother cooked all my meals. The kitchen was her room in the house and us kids were not even allowed to cook anything ever. When Imoved out I realized I didnt even know how to boil an egg much less cook a real meal. The first year on my own i lived on fast food and frozen dinners. After about a year I started cooking easy stuff pasta, eggs, grill cheese ect. But after a year of that I got tired of eating the same 10 things all the time. So I attempted to start cooking actual food, i mean how hard could it be to follow directions from a cookbook. Well it turns out it's harder then it sounds. Everything I cook tastes terrible and the few things that turned out good enough to eat still did not taste as good as when my mom mafe them. I have come to the conclusion I hate to cook and even when a dish comes out right the effort of having to cook it for myself makes me not even want to eat it when im done, half the time. How do you learn to be one of those people who is at good at cooking? More importantly how do you learn to like to cook?
