it would make me furoius to see a man beating a woman and i would feel sorry for a man who gets battered by a woman, in my country we do have some women who beat men, for me i really dont support any of the above but battered women situation is worst.

I believe they are equally bad. Some people feel that a man should be able to simply fight back or leave an abusive woman but that's not always the case. Most of the time an abuser starts with emotional abuse so their victim is already mentally beaten down by the time physical violence starts. This can make it too hard for the victim to fight back or to leave.

you are so right, it actually starts at emotional abuse which makes it harder for persons to leave or even to fight back. and yes both are equally wrong. thanks for responding.

Yes it is bad either man or woman do that. But what is my choice if i have to? I am bias but i will defend my right as a woman. I don't want man will beat me. Man are basically and belief that are more strong than woman and tend to be the protector. It is more worst that man beat woman, in either way.

The WORST is actually to compare which is worse. Beating is a wrongdoing. Period. The gender does not justify which is worse or better. Both is just so wrong.

well, no thats not whats worst, whats worst is why do they have institutions for battered women and not for battered men as well. forgive me if i sounded a little bias in my discussion, truth is i'm not i'm just saying that it makes me feel worst to see a woman with black and blued eyes, its usually to a lesser extent with men, at least in my country, but yes like i said, both are equally wrong. thanks for responding ok.

"whats worst is why do they have institutions for battered women and not for battered men as well." I did not know about this. That IS unfair. I'm hoping battery will stop.

While they are equally bad and should never occur I believe that a man beating a woman is far worse. In general men are far stronger women than women and can hurt them far worse. I really do not ever see the reason that a man should ever feel the need to batter a woman. It is true that women are far better at verbal attacks than men are. But there should never be the need to physically harm her. There is always walking away or ignoring what she says. While I do know it happens that women do beat some men I really think it far less than men beating women. Most men would not allow it unless they were asleep at the time. I feel that both are equally bad and reflects a sign of ignorance that they can not resolve their problems without violence.

well its not good for either i agree on that but sometimes the reason why women beat their spouses is because the are just sick and tried of been beaten by the men. they just try to stand up when they get the courage. boften due to the men's tone and ody languge the females dont tend to last long.

well, i woul'nt say they beat their men if they themselves are being beaten, what they are doing is fighting back. thanks for your response

Both are wrong but you are asking what is worst between the two, it is the man who beats a woman because noramally we believe that man are stronger than woman, so man should not beat woman, and woman should not beat man.
