how do i make money with my blog?

i just added bidvertiser to one of my blogs and put it through feedburner, is there any good ways you can make money writing original content about software and make money at it through contexual advertising? It is so tough. I am using wordpress, it seems to have a community enviroment and etc, but it's still not enough, what else could i do?
