I do my best not to get angry with my son. I will control that and avoid beating him even if does some mischief. He is 7 years old. But at times I may beat him How about you?

If you are beating your children, aren't you teaching them that it is OK to beat???? Sounds like you both need a timeout!!! THINKING is required when raising children.

yes i do get angry with my kids when they do wrong and punishments differ from the kind of wrong that they do. my who just turned 8 also does a lot of things that is really upsetting. sometimes i ground him, there are other times i dont let him play computer, and sometimes his allowance is cut in half. if all of these fail and he is still making me angry doing the same thing i do the spanking. either i let him stand his back facing mine and hands up i spank hi butt with a belt or flat stick... the harder the better, i make him put his hands up so it will not get hit because there was a time he used it to block the hit... silly... and when he does receive spanking he tends to not do the same mistakes again. the same thing with my daughter.

my 7yr old winds me up from sun up til sun down (thank goodness he's in school!) my 5yr old is no different. If they do wrong they do time out in their room. but beating them with a belt or stick is so wrong. I had it done to me so i would never inflict that kind of cruelty on a child- no matter what they do
