Before, we had 9/11, terrorists attack, those extreme Muslim - believers sacrifice their lives along with hundreds of innocent passengers to revenge the war on U.S. That really scare our average citizens on traveling on the planes. Later, we have many plane malfunctions incidents; Until now, we have Air France suddenly disappear in the sky, due to the natural disaster, a lightning might caused it to crashed. After you reading all these accidents on the news, would you dare yourself to ride the planes? Even though you have to, you might re - consider if there is another option to arrive the destination. What do you think?

I have never flown on a plane. I never had the chance. If I had the chance to fly I would be scared to do so! Hearing about all this plane accidents scares me! It really scared the heck out of me when 9/11 happen! I scorn I wouldn't even go near an airport after that! Maybe I will go to an airport if I have to but I won't fly! I know if I did the plane would have problems! Something bad would happen! Bad weather,a terroriist would take over the plane or the engines would fail and the plane would go down! So don't expect me to ever get on a plane! Period!

FLying is still the safest means of transportation. I do not hesitate to fly, unfortunately it is expensive.

I have never liked the idea of traveling on a plane! Especially after 9-11... I won't go on a plane at all or a subway.. I would rather drive, I don't believe that I have a better chance on a plane than in a car! A lot of people think your chances ar epretty much the same or even better on a plane but at least with a car you can somewhat control where you go and what you do in a crisis. On a plane some one else controls it and you cant just jump out of it if something goes wrong!

I have been in planes and I still travel that way. When people go to the airports now your lucky you don't get strip searched. All your bags get checked and your purses to and your shoes have to come off to be checked. yes i would still travel by plane.

Right before 911 happened, I was supposed to take a vacation; well that never happened. I was totally afraid to get on a plane for fear of the same thing happening to me and i'm sure i wasn't the only one. Ever since then it's been really hard for me to make a decision on wether or not to fly. Who can blame the people who are afraid after all of these accidents and tragedies. Unfortunately you can't take a train or drive to Puertorico so I guess I will just have to make it there sometime soon.

I am not afraid of flying. Usually that is the only way I can visit my family without driving for 20 hours. I had to fly 1 week after 9/11. I grew up right outside of NYC. I wasn't scared to fly because it would be stupid to do another terrorist attack that soon after 9/11.

After 9/11 I swore I would never get on a plane again. However, since 2005 I have been flying more than I have my entire life. Don't get me wrong I do get nervous before takeoff and landing and I do size up the passagers while waiting for takeoff. I look for unually behavior. I guess I have seen to many movies concerning hijackings and or mechanical failure. I went on a trip to Puerto Rico and had to take 3 different planes in one day and also on my return trip. Needless to say I was quite nervous because now I felt I had the odds against me, being on 6 different flights in 2 weeks. Thank God there were no problems and everything was smooth sailing and it was all on continental airlines.

I never had experienced riding on a plane so its quite obvious the "first time syndrome" - its really scary. It's not because I'm thinking about the terrorist, that fact that its my first time, I just have a nasty nagging feeling that it will crash somehow, lol. I also don't know how to swim so riding a boat is kind of scary, it feels like its going to sink. The fact that I can't fly or swim is enough coz I have no control on any event that may occur. There's no first aid or precautionary measure. No amount of experience can even prepare me to face it when something like that happens. The thing is, I do believe that if its our time to die, we can't prevent it. So might as well just go for we never really know our inevitable day.

I have no problem traveling on a plane and I don't think it worth all the worry at all. The fact it is that there are just countless planes in the sky at virtually any moment where they are carrying people around the world safely and comfortably. All those instances you mentioned are only part of the picture. There are just so many more planes doing just fine. I think that if taking a plane is risky, taking a bus won't be anything better as a lorry can just hit your bus. Take a ship and you risk entering storms. Take a train and we know how trains can have head on collision.

When I think of flying, I think where is this big plane taking me. And for me its usually on a holiday. So no, it doesnt scare me. It excits me. If we stop doing things now because of fear, where will that leave us. Always looking over our shoulder wondering what terrible thing is going to happen next? I cant change what may happen so I want to go about enjoying my life. When its my time, so be it. But til then, I want to enjoy it!

am very scared to hear the news that 9/11 flight crashes. my whole family is very much scared. then iraq war. then last week france flight crash. by these advancements in technology is not enough tp resist these flight crashes. bu we have to improve ourr technical developement to protect our peoples. so i am now scared to travel in flight, since any other protection is there.
