i used to have really bad acne...and it bothered me a lot we went to the dermatologist but they didnt do anything for me then my mom decided to start trying stuff from the store.. nothing worked for me! then my mom ordered me some proactiv...that was the only thing that finally worked we had to first get the advanced care...then i moved to the regular... now i have no acne and i dont even have to use proactiv anymore that i chose to do... i know i prolly sound like one of those commercials but it worked im wondering what some of you do for your acne and how it works for you..let me know

My daughters boyfriend has acne just like the picture shown on this discussion. He has tried everything too. I believe he has even tried the proactive, but it didn't help him. But he also eats chocolate. Loves the stuff, I think if he'd lay off of that his skin would become much clearer.

thats a really good idea! just the home microderm home systems because they are so much cheaper than actually going to have them done!!!

I'm always wary of topical treatments which may cause allergy reaction on my skin... Pills may conflict with other treatments as well, so I tried Therasol acne phototherapy from visol.com and it worked really well! Killed bacteria, got rid of existing acne and haven't had a breakout since! It surprised me, and now Therasol is with my teenage brother. To get rid of old acne scars, I used Peelife, a home microdermabrasion machine also from visol.com, I am now a huge fan of their products because I've tried them myself and know that they work - not just one product, but all the products I've bought.

When I was a teenager I never got acne, but as I began college I got a lot of pimples popping up on my face & it hurt so much. I tried to figure what the source was and fix it. It was my bad eating habits and college stressing me out. I tried to take things easy, lay of the greasy foods as well as the sugary drinks and with some store products, it's cleared up pretty well. Now working on the scars some of them left ;/

Early in college I used to have acne problems but it’s all good now. Though sometimes I still get one or two but mostly during my menstrual period. I used to wash my face before and after work though I’m not exposed to the sun during my work but I’m using powder.

I do when I was a teenager. But not anymore because I learn to take care of my face. My mother brought me herbal soap for my acne and it works.
