Good start by India

India started their campaign of defending their twenty twenty world cup crown with a bang by defeating Bangladesh by 25 runs. They are on the right track to bring back the cup to India. And with Australia and England started on a dismal note with crushing defeats, India did not let the underdogs to overpower them. The next match is also against a minnow but they cannot take it lightly.

it was a good start since they won the match but the batting did not look convincing at all until yuvraj singh came out to bat. i think that is something they will have to work out and sehwag will make the difference to the batting when he comes back into the team. the bowling looks good and that is always a big factor in t20 cricket. i do not think Bangladesh are the underdogs as they can win any match easily on their day so you always need to be at your best against a team like Bangladesh. the next match in group a is tomorrow between Bangladesh and Ireland so the result of that match will be known to india before they play their match against so it will be a plus point since they will know exactly what they have to do in their match against Ireland.

Indeed it was a great start by India. We've beaten the tougher of the two opponents in our group. We can start thinking about the next round as we comfortably beat Bangladesh yesterday and the next match is definitely easier. Its not that I'm underestiating any team but we've surely learnt our lessons from the 2007 world cup.
