For my entire life i have been watching news almost every day whether local or international, that's fine with me. but what i noticed is that only a few good news is taking little attention but they rather focused on the bad news because to some the good news may feel so corny and unchallenged. so, how do we help bring good news to the world aside from spreading the word of God or something. what is your point of view my fellow mylotters, do you believe there's still worth good news to spread besides of all the bad news in the world that you almost hear every single day? need your thoughts? because frankly i hate the Bad News

I think there are also many wonderful things happening all over the world. It's just that the news TV stations bring forward the sensational and the shocking news - and the most shocking news is the bad news.

I agree with you also, those are not watch in the News i checked it on youtube or some other video sharing sites. Like tourist spots, some people giving care to others, women's rights are recognized and other stuff that media rarely cares about..I guess that's why they mostly report bad news because it's something that others will get attention of.

Mikaela There is plenty of good news out there but it does not fit the agenda of the news people. For example Rotary International is making an effort to eliminate Polio in Africa. The diseases is all but gone in the rest of the world. This is being done with donations from individual people world wide. Lions Clubs International test and fit millions of people for eye glasses Free every year. Almost every community in the US has a food pantry or food shelf stocked with donations from every day people to help the less fortunate. people keep giving even though they know that a few people are taking advantage of it. Walk into any business and ask them how much they donate to national non profit groups and to local groups. We have a Walmart near us and they have a wall showing the thousand of dollars they have given locally on an ongoing basis. It seems that every couple of months they are selling a pennent that will allow you to support a national charity (some of the money goes locally). Have you heard anything good about Walmart on the national news. They moved into the area and provided about 200 new jobs. A few years ago a tornado hit a neighboring community of about 2,000 people and within hours they had several thousand dollars donated by local service clubs. for the next several days they had more volunteer help than they could use cleaning up the mess. By the end of the week they had 5 semi trailers of food, water and cleaning supplies that was donated by people and I was told that at least 2 of the semi were going to other communities to stock their food pantries because they had more than they could use. Some times the News Media is just doom and gloom. I remember one news cast and they reported that the Stock Market was up, Mortgage interest was an near record lows, unemployment was at its lowest ever, personal income was up and the media interviewed a family that was struggling trying to make two care payments, house payment and paying for three child in private school. They were not enjoying the economic boom. They could only afford to go out for a dinner and a show 2-3 times a month. There is plenty of good news out there.

Hi Mikaela! You are very much right in your observations. News channels or Media bring us those news which is considered 'bad' or say 'sad' news. In the age of cut throat competition every channel or newspaper want to sensationalise the news so that it could get more viewers/readers. I also feel disgusted when I hear and watch on bad news, such as accidents happening at various places, news relating to natural disasters and natural calamities, news related to bomb explosion. It happens rarely when we are get to watch good news, may be good news comes from the news realted to sport and celebrities. It has become order of the day to highlight the bad news out of proporation. Very Good Post!

I think alot of the times the bad news is focused on and made a big deal out of - and that has changed how people look at things. Good news should be reported too...the world might be a happier possibly more trusting place.
