The Dynamics (rise and fall) of Pay To Click Sites

A couple of years ago I discovered the world of Pay-To-Click sites. Like anything else in the economy (speaking particularly of the US) there are going to be peaks and valleys, ups and downs. They all say that you will not get rich in clicking on their site. I have a funny feeling that a lot of what I consider to be good paying sites are going through some really tough times right now. I wonder how long the industry itself is going to be sustainable. Also, in a way, I wish that the honest sites would identify their owner on the "home" page of their site. The PTC world actually seems like a small family, at least those of the "honest" owners. I know from time to time the sites change owners but I think one could trust more readily those who are well established and known to be honest. There are a few sites I belong to right now of which the owners are honest and upfront saying they are having some money problems. To me these people have earned our support but then again, do you continue to click on the site if you feel they will have trouble paying. Does anyone want to step forward and drop some names and/or would you like to share your view on whether or not to continue clicking on a site (thereby helping honest owners sustain the site) even if you feel they are not going to have the money to pay you?
