I had a Rabbit named Chikoo....It was very cute. I enjoyed all my time with him. I really loved him. But one day a stray dog attacked my Rabbit and killed it. Now i have started hating all dogs. Whenever i see any dog, i feel that it has killed my Rabbit. How to come out of this?

Honestly, you can't blame the dog. I know someone whose own dog killed their pets, but really it wasn't the dog's fault. It was that dog's natural instinct to kill the "prey", and the owner had accidentally allowed the dog access to the other pets (in this case, she knew the dog was dangerous, but forgot to latch the gate that kept the dog from getting to the other pets one day). It was an accident. And since that was her dog, I guess eventually she had to stop hating it so that she could still care for the dog. If you don't have to worry about your own dogs attacking a rabbit since you don't have any dogs from the sounds of it, then it is easy to keep any future rabbit safe. Keeping your rabbit inside is much safer, as I'm sure you know now, unfortunately for you and the rabbit, by learning the hard way.

I never said the rabbit could learn. I'm sure the rabbit tried to avoid the dog but there is only so much a pet can do. The owners have to protect it. You definitely learned that the hard way. While obviously no rabbit could ever replace your past rabbit, if you ever did have another rabbit sometime in the future hopefully it would be kept indoors. Maybe you can't stop hating all dogs. Considering this wasn't your dog and you don't have dogs, maybe you don't have to stop hating all dogs. As long as you aren't going to harm dogs just because you hate them, I don't see what the problem is with now hating dogs. In the other person's case they had to learn not to hate their dog, because they had to continue to care for it.

Buy a dog and you'll learn to love it. Dogs are really loveable and you'll learn to love and care for one when you have one. Sorry about your rabbit. May he rest in peace.

Well, you won't know until you try. You don't have to if you don't want to but don't hate all dogs for something one dog did. Hate the one that did it. Hating all the dogs for one dog's doing would be like hating all the Arabs for something a few terrorists did.

Dear friend, It is really sad to know that, anyhow I had about 9 rabbits which in that few I had given to my friends and relatives, I like them all and gave them only to those who would treat it as their pets. As I have to be away from my home. Now I have only two rabbits which are well going.
