Let's get rid of humanity!!

How would you destroy humanity? Then what species would you choose to be the next dominant one? Why choose that one?
Me, I'd like to put something in the water supply so we'd all just slip peacefully away. Then for the next species, I choose skunks. They'll never create weapons of mass destruction. They already carry their own!
Nothing able to smell will mess with them, so they'll bring peace to the world. (It might be a little smelly for awhile, but there WILL be peace!) There won't be bigotry, cause they'll just "bomb" the bad guy till he either gives in or dies of suffocation. They'd be the best cops! Built in weaponry.
What are your choices?

I like cats too, but you gotta admit skunks avoid more fighting. You can't really argue much against something that stops you from breathing! I have heard skunks compared to cats ...
I dislike lions, mostly cause the females have to do all the work while the male rules. I like equality between the sexes more.

well, I only compared cats in a pride type situation - actually, house cats will band together to raise young
Now here the male cat can still a problem, but because they will kill kittens to get the female to come into heat again. But if they have evolved to the point where they are sapiant then the male would have to be more involved in civilization.

Cats should rule the world. They know how to take care of business. They don't go off talking about someone behind their back. If they got a problem with each other, they settle it, winner take all, loser walks away with hurt pride is all, and maybe a couple scratches.

Cats are good. The loser comes away with more than a couple scratches though!! My cats get all tore up cause they won't leave each other alone. Even my neutered boy gets torn up cause the strays won't quit beating him up. They can be quite ferocious.
