I am a nurse working in a hospital. I find my profession very challenging because of the responsibilities i have like taking care of the patient as well as noting the doctors' orders. One should be very attentive and keen enough so that there would be no errors done. But anyhow, i find my job not so well compensated especially that i am working here in my own country (Philippines) though i have worked hard because of the commitment and the oath i made after i got my license. You know, a side of me wants to stay here in the country to really serve but i am also thinking of the future i get. How about you? what do you think of nurses who goes out from your own country and serve others instead?

They are great people who wants to help their families. They are pride of a country which can't compensate for the needs of their citizenry due to graft and corruption in the Government that doesn't fear God at all

I am a Filipino Nurse, and have been to other countries due to my profession. What I think about it? For me, it's fine. I agree, that we are not well compensated here. I mean, we spent so much for school, board exams...and especially for foreign exams, wherein, I have to go to another country just to pass it ( :-) I have 4 licenses already). And all of these isn't worth working here..,.and I don't want to sound hypocrite by telling everybody that I don't mind working for free as a volunteer or with very low salary.... coz it's not fine. Ever since I came home to the Philippines, I never went back to working as a nurse, I'll only work as one, if I am outside the country. Besides, there are so many nurses here, and some would even work as a volunteer for the sake of experience... that's just too much.
