Boyfriend will be unhappy

i share your pain as i am like that as well. i go bananas for accesories. however when i reach home i have to hide them until i get my cheque... then i pretend as if they were just brought. the strangest things one would do when they love to shop.

I understand how you feel. I myself am a compulsive buyer (and I bet you're way better than I am). You mentioned that he is still your boyfriend... so that's unamrried state yet, right. At that stage, he should know more about your passion. It is something that makes you happy. Besides, you also mentioned that it's not like you bought this stuff on a weekly basis. I believe that it's best that you talk this out with him. It's either you adjust on his behalf (and makes you a little sad, because this is going to be a great sacrifice)...or, you can meet halfway and compromize. Maybe you can make an agreement, perhaps...you can swear to buy only once in three to four months. That's better than really stopping in buying what you really love.
