SOAPs Love them or Hate them?

Just thought I would kinda poll this out....
How many of you out there enjoy daytime soaps? could you live without them or are they a must have in your day?
Now I can't see how I ever watched them, but I used to religiously watch Y&R and B&B.

I have gone through my phases. I don't watch them now, but I used to watch Days of our Lives and Passions. At my sorority house it was a must. I didn't even like Passions, but if you didn't know what was going on, you were out of the loop. I stayed with Days of Our Lives for a while, and now when I am sick, sometimes I will turn it on.. I much prefer the night time shows that are like soaps, like The OC. I own that one on DVD.

LOL I knew peer presure could do a lot of things... but make you resort to watching soaps is a new one to me! LOL Good Stuff! I'm not sure if One Tree Hill would be condsidered a primetime soap or not... but if it is... I'm guilty as charged on that one!

I'm not actually a fan of soaps.I'm not into watching shows that have to be watched religously so you can follow the story.the problem is if i missed one or two episodes,I'll lose interest in watching it anymore.I prefer watching reality shows about fashion and food.

I go through phases with Y&R and B&B, I can go months without watching them, but then I catch an episode and I want to start watching everyday too see what happens. Here in Australia, we have our own soaps ( "Home and Away" and "Neighbours") which I tend to watch everyday.
