The world’s first 12-Megapixel camera phone will be available in Europe the end of June. It's the Samsung Pixon12.
It has a neat "Touch AutoFocus" feature where you touch on the screen where you want the focus of your photo to be! The phone also features a 28mm wide angle lens and a Xenon flash.
Pretty fancy stuff for a cell phone!
Do you think you'll be getting this phone?

I don't know about this phone specifically, but you can actually get a macro lens for the iPhone http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/cellphone/b456/

Mega pixels are good, but good photography depends on lens quality not the pixels.
Pixels are only important when printing an enlargement of you picture...
I like cellphone to make a phone call, camera for pictures is always the best...

I am taking professional photography, but you don't have to trust what I say, I can refer you to Calumet Photography or Adorama where you can talk to the experts.
Pixels are important for picture sharpness and details, but lens is the most important for great photography.

With digital cameras, the type and size of the sensor is just as important if not more important than the lens!

I will say it is a decent camera with 12 Megapixel resolution which so happens to be able to connect to the mobile phone network where you can use it for calling out to your friends.
There are just more and more features being added to the cellphone that you sometimes wonder whether they are really useful at all. I mean, 12 Megapixel camera? Is it supposed to replace a real 12 Megapixel camera? It is pretty obvious to me that even the cheapest 12 Megapixel camera is going to create much better quality photo than this phone so what is that big resolution in the cellphone good for?
