Only if I am offered juice in a glass I would use the straw otherwise I would prefer to drink without the help of the straw. But I find many people use the straw to drink fruit juices, but straw is not needed if fruit juices have a lot of pulp. What is your idea on this?

Our dentist recently told my wife to drink through a straw as much as possible to protect her teeth. Straws help get the sugar in the drinks passed the teeth avoiding all of cavity potential.

Sorry, I meant "alot of cavity potential", not all!

I never use straw whenever i drink any fruit juices or smoothies, i drink it direct in the bottle or glass, to prevent bacteria, like micro organism or salmonela, to maintain a balance diet and proper hygiene.

hi cudamani.... ya i use straw for light thick juice like leamon juice and al... mostly ppl use straw since its given to them when juice is delivered.. but for thick shake and al its difficult to take with straw.. so prefer without straw for these juice..and another concept behind using straw is people seeing other using straw make them too confortable to use it.. its from my point of view.. enjoy

I never use a straw apart from when I drink homemade smoothies all the acids and sugars in fruit can damage your enamel. Lemon juice is the worst if you drink that without a straw you can see it working away at your teeth over time if you don't brush enough.
