Here in the Southeast we are in our summer pattern which means almost every day there is a threat of thunderstorms. We are in one now as a matter of fact. Do you have storms in the summertime? How do you cope with them?

I'm real close to what is referred to as tornado alley in our state and I get real uncomfortable when there are warnings and pace the floor and keep looking out the windows at the clouds. I also keep a close eye on the radar. If it is at night I carry a flashlight around with me...LOL

I was pretty freaked out last year because we got a tornado here and it ripped my roof apart. Nowadays i am pretty apprehensive when it is going to storm. This week I had to get work done on my invisbile fence and also had to have the direct tv worked on due to severe storms. Soemthing is always happening here storm wise. it gets tiring.

I figure if I was in one that actually did damage to my house I would really freak out when it got bad. I've been afraid of storms since I was a child.

We don't really get a thunder storm season here but, we have had some bad weather lately! Hopefully the sun will come back soon! x

Oh yeah. I live in Oklahoma, Twister country. We've already had a couple, but none that were massive. We all know the tell tale sign. One minute it is dark, windy, and humid. Ten minutes later it is still outside...ya know you better get inside and turn on the weather report. I hate tornadoes!

Often, we get "pop up" thunderstorms in the summer, but last year we got not a one.

It seems like our area goes through stages. We haven't had a really bad summer with a lot of tornadoes and such since about the mid 1990's. We do of course, get a few tornadoes in the area about two or three times a year. I usually try to keep my eye on a tv if I know that it is going to storm. They usually have a radar that will show the heavy areas in dark green, and the really bad areas in red. I always try to stay out of the red. :()

Yes we do. I live in Florida and this year we've been having storms almost every afternoon. I goes in spells I guess. A couple of years it was so dry we had fire warnings all Summer. This year it's raining everyday. I don't mind it tho. It's the sticky humidity after the rain that gets to me.

alittle bit of rain is OK, but sometimes the storms get so severe here we have our property damaged. It gets to be a bit much. It is expensive to have to replace things damaged by the storms. I just don't really like the storm problems that keep happening here.
