I have long ago reached the 500 post mark which allows us to paste. Can I use this option safely and still earn. If suppose I 'paste', will it have a bad effect on my account? Will it get banned? I have a good response ready for some cricket matches. I want to paste that directly instead of typing. Can I do it safely?

You can copy your own work and paste it without any problems at all.
If you copy and paste work by others then that is where you must be careful. You can quote a piece (not the entire article) by someone else but you MUST paste the source (the link) pointing to where you found the article.
If you copy work by others and post it as your own then you are committing an offence called plagiarism and this would cause you to lose your account.

As long as it is still the same quality of posting, you will be fine. I sometimes write my discussions in another program and then paste them into the mylot box.
The reason it takes so long for you to be able to paste is to help prevent spamming. If anyone could copy and paste, there would be tons more people posting spam all over the place!

As long as you arent violating the TOS, there shouldnt be any problems.
Im not sure I really understand what your concern is. There is no problem with the act of copying and pasting.

Yes. You have no problem in pasting, as long as you don't violate the terms. I've used this copy / paste utility more. Particularly when I want to quote from other sites.
Otherwise, I just try to make my answers unique and I don't use the utility to paste the same answer for more than one question, unless the question is of same nature.
There is no problem in using the paste utility.
