I was in Africa for my holiday and I can`t be believed what I saw in the continent. We in Western world have to do some thing not only in giving the money but to find the roots courses of the crises.

They find a way to survive. If it means eating bugs or going to another village to survive they will. t's called survival and we all do it.

The following points can sum up for slow economic development of many of the African countries:
1. Improper use of available natural resources
2. Corrupt and inefficient governments
3. Lack of honest leadership politically and socially.
4. Misuse of international aid
5. People lack character and lack of will
6. Poor infrasturucture for industriazation
7. Lack of institutions which would promote economic activities
8. Absence of empowerment of women.

Mr B. Geldorf tried with Band Aid in the 80's and while it was a valiant effort, the corruption in Ethiopia screwed it all up and the grain never got to its destination at the right time -- too late for planting, too late for the rains ---- back 2 square 1.
