How Does One 'Break Into' Freelance Writing??

United States

My husband, unemployed now for about 4 months, wants to explore writing freelance. Are there any freelance writers out there who'd be willing to give some general advice? What about all the freelance job boards out there? Which ones are good and which ones should he stay away from? Any freelance writing blogs or other websites he should visit to get further tips or instruction? Thanks bunches, guys, for any tips or advice you can give.

I agree w/ Helium... a good ground for freelance writer! I just signed up weeks ago, thoguh I haven't started an article yet... they so many opportunities to choose from. Socialspark, is another great place to post your articles & get ideas from those who's already in it... you earn money if your post gets approval.
