I broke my collar bone (clavical) when I was 4. I had very long curly hair at the time and it hurt so bad to brush it that my parents ended up having to cut my hair short. My dad cried. I broke my wrist in highschool and never had it set, just put a cheap splint on it and went on. I thought it was just sprained real bad.

Ohh ouch!!on all the broken bones. My daughter broke her wrist dancing. :( It's all better now. I thought it was sprained too because it did not look broken at all! After the swelling started to go down. There it was! She had a splint for 2 weeks, than we had to bring her back the day before she was to have the cast put on because her thumb went numb. The splint was pressing on a nerve or something. They gave her a softer splint. Than she had the cast for 2 weeks and had it taken off last week. What a nightmare. This kid definately has a high pain tollerance. I had to do all the writing portions of her homework. She gave the answers. I had to help dress and bath her. It was a pain to keep that thing dry. She had awesome doctors who fixed her all up.

I broke my lower leg bone right below the knee and right above the ankle. I was ice skating and tried to skate on one foot, I was all of 5 at the time. Ended up with a nice cast up to my hip for 6 weeks and then another 4 I think with a cast up to my knee. Worst part was the doctor didn't think I broke my leg because I could wiggle my toes. Sure surprised him.

I have never broken a bone but when I was in highschool I slipped on some water wearing coyboy boots and badly sprained my ankle . I didn't want my mom to know so I went for a walk for 2 hours up in the mountains and when I came home I walked about another hour down from where we lived , I figured it I could walk enough the pain would go away and then I could hide it (not sure why I never wanted my mother to know I was ever hurt but I was always trying to hide it from her , for some reason I always thought she would be mad at me , when in fact she never ever got mad at me when I was sick or injured ). Anyway by the time my mom and dad found out what had happened my ankle was swollen at least three times the size of my boots . When they brought me into the hospital they had no choice but to cut the boots off , because I had did so much damage to it by walking on it , I was supposed to be on crutches for a few weeks . I didn't want to be on crutches and refused to use them , figured I could still do it on my own and block out the pain . In the end , I ended up with a severly bad ankle that I had to watch for years . But I have to say it hasn't given me any pain in quite some time now .
