Why are you waiting ???

Yes you all would be equivocal if I ask why are we living? You have got everything and there is nothing that you want to fulfill still you are waiting for the morrow and if one talks of death you are miles away of it. Yes that is hope. That tomorrow would be better, only a hypothesis and still we go on waiting and you are not exactly sure what you are waiting for the morrow to bring you. Is it your fiance, car, jewelry, good heath, and the list would be too long. Mystery this is I say that one who has lost everything in life is still there alive. He has nothing to expect anything from life but why he is there? Can not he finish his life would be buzzing question around, but ironically he is alive all sad with some hoe that might be the morrow would bring him some soothing balm and he would be once again happy. Is it that we ultimately are there to be happy? Or what is the wait for? Please share. Rajib. 11.06.09

hello there... i'm living for my family, i still have my life so i have to live it to the best that i can and i believe that my life is from God and so i have to serve Him all my life and what i am waiting for is the second coming of Christ and the salvation that He promised and to be with Him forever...i think that's the ultimate purpose of my life and it definitely worth the wait! :-) have a nice day!

Hi there, Nice to know your purpose. Well I have no objection against any one who believes in God and are religious as I am an atheist. Well please do not take it otherwise - the second coming is rather a myth and Christ would not come any more. This is you who can make things better or worse. Thanks for the response.

hello again and thanks...i'm glad that even if we have different opinion on this matter atleast we both respect each other and can talk nicely... we all have our reasons why we choose to believe or not to believe...i respect everybody's opinion and i just hope that whatever we choose to believe i wish all of us will have a good end...but still we will not be able to know what would it be or how will it be tomorrow...so let's just continue waiting...hehehe :-) as long as we're alive i think we will always be waiting for tomorrow to come...for whatever reason we don't know but we just need to go on and live our life...:-) have a nice day!:-)

Hi, Nicely defended. I appreciate your words that faith is the ground to substantiate inference and hypothesis. As nothing has been ascertained we can not say for sure if or not Christ would make His second visit and rescue the sin ridden world. If that is to happen may I would not have anything to fret over my being an atheist. And I believe that life on this Earth is still apace only because there is a hope and belief. Have a nice day.

I wonder when we will realise that everything we need is here right now! If we are stop and meditate even for a minute we would become aware that there is no need to wait for tomorrow, all we need is here now! There is nothing wrong with having goals or nice things we just need to be more aware of the now, I think. We are often so focused on the future that we miss out on life now as it is in the present moment. I used to often analyse my existence and see the lack, there was never enough, not enough money, not enough love etc. Nowadays I just feel tired, too tired to keep fighting my way through life feeling bad because I have not reached some kind of ideal. I decided a while ago that I’m ok and my life is ok just as it is right now. I still strive for what I want but in a much more peaceful manner. The key to happiness, I think, is to focus on what we have compared to what we don’t have.

Hi Paula, "The key to happiness, I think, is to focus on what we have compared to what we don’t have." - is the key sentence to your agonized version. Life is life. It is same with an American, or Indian, or an Australian or an African and wishes too are identical except those who have forsaken material life and are in look for a rather sublime one. As mortal we have never the full stop to our expect ion though the nature of the expectation keeps on varying time to time. Finally this is the hope for the better morrow and this is igniting the life force. Thanks for the response.

Hi Rajib, It is my belief that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. We came here for a reason, and there is a purpose for every life. We alone however, can discover what that purpose is, another can't find it for us. This doesn't mean that it has to be something great as far as the world is concerned, most of us are simple people, nevertheless we are important to someone. Sometimes people are not able to do anything and others must take care of them, it may then be the case that another is learning about life because of having to do so much for us. We are here to experience life in all it's ups and downs and no one can know what tomorrow will bring. The answer I believe is to live in the moment and be content. Blessings.

Hello Ma'am, You are right. If not for anything we are here for some reason and that reason may not be known to others and to us as well. Life goes on like it went off in the past. And the penultimate is the same. May be we are hopeful that something better would follow. Thanks for the response.

Inspiring question! Some people wait someone to save them.In my country people wait the government to help them, they wait for charity, they think that one day the rich will give away all the money they have and life will change.No.Until they make one simple step forward.I don't wait for any help in my life anymore.I don't wait for something special to happen.I'm just trying to make it less annoying all the way that I can.

Hi pansy! You have a point. But the way of the world is like this only. We can simply wait for something to get better and nothing else. Thanks for the response.

Hi krajibg, your topic really needs a soul searching answer to come up with. I have never really thought why I am still here but I believe God has given me this precious life and until the final countdown I need to live life to the fullest. For God wants me and all His children to be really happy. He has strewn with the generosiity of all the good things of earth for all to enjoy and to be happy with. Truly it has been said that man does not live by bread alone. To be truly happy, you must feel that life has a purpose, that it is surging toward some great event to which the whole creation moves. You must feel that you, yourself, have some part, no matter how small, in this march of the universe.

Hi zands, First of all thanks for the compliment. Next thing is as we are born with human shape and not in any other shape and we are the supposedly the masters over other creatures therefore we have some purpose to fulfill. Some do their part keeping full faith on the concept of God , some just go on their own way. But there is the hope in every soul and the hope is for a better morrow. and the wait goes on sometime getting the desired object and sometime empty handed. And the curtain comes down and all is gone. Thanks for the response.

I think we are all striving and waiting for spiritual enlightenment. Those of us who don't realize it indulge in and wait for material things, looking forward to getting them and wondering why our lives are so empty. Others don't wait for tomorrow but make the most of today, giving to others when they can and trying to improve themselves and the circumstances of people around them. I rarely think about tomorrow. I plan for the worst, hope for the best and try to make the most of each day. I think that man you are talking about who is sad and hoping for happiness would find it if he would forget himself and dedicate his time to helping others. That's a great cure for unhappiness.

Hi there, You are the most radical. This philosophy of life really hold water for many. Preparing for the worst and wishing for the best and making the best of the day is what the radicals believes. And that was the mission with the American people as they were all set to make the best of the land after Columbus discovered the land. Thanks for the response.

Each one of has our own life to live. I am a widow in early fifties, I have done my part raising the children alone and gave them the education the best way I can and they're having quite stable jobs. I'm just starting to enjoy living with my first grandchild and another one is coming. I'm rested for a while but seeing the present situation of life, still I want to do more, still I'm trying to earn and have something memorable I could leave for my children and grandchildren. I show my love and concern to relatives and neighbors as much as possible. I'm enjoying getting along with dear friends and happy of having online friends as well. I enjoy joining religious groups of praising and worshipping the Lord, listening to his words and sharing as well. Though I have a life not as beautiful as others I'm quite fulfilled and just goes along with it wherever it may takes me. The wait for maybe is the final time for us to be with our Creator, hehe but not too soon,(lol) though according to His will.

Hi Bing, Yes, I admire your way of living. As long as life is there we should strive to make the best of ourselves and in the process if you do a little for others that is still better. and finally this is the hope that is inspiring us to live on. Thanks for the response.

What about to learn something new or meet something new? Like adventure? Hope for sure is one of the element to keep us waiting or hopeing. What about all the things outside our small little world? What about travel all over the world? Will that give you some meaning of being alive? To me, i haven't complete some major move of my life yet, like marriage, like give birth to a baby? I am waiting for all of those happen to me!

HI, i always believe that there must be some reasons or aims for us to exist in this world or continue to live. Everyone has his own destiny in life and has his or her own aim or wishes to be achieve in life. Although if someone has lost everything in life, but at the very least he still has his life, he can start all over again and get back everything if he is determined enough. This is what hope for, as long as there is still hope, there is always a drive to continue going. Some people maybe waiting, waiting for the time to come or waiting for his chance to recover. Whereas some people do not wait, but they will straight continue work for the things they want in life. Life is short, time is limited, but our desire has no end. So, there is no reason for us to end our life just like that.

Hi aikhong. Nice wording. Yes, hope is the stimulant that keeps the engine of life go on. About the man who lost everything surely can start all over again but he must have lost his hopes for revival and in such situation it is difficult to raise to the occasion. Thanks for your response.

Happiness is a state of mind. Someone could be very poor but happy. Still somebody could have owned the world but is still lonely.

Most of time, we know the endings of films, but why we still see them from the beginning to the ending? People wanna enjoy the processor. We dont'know what will bring to us in the next morning, maybe good things, maybe bad news. But it is a motive to find the result. People are addicted to unsure things, even the results are too bad. I'm waiting for personal miracle.

Hi Postlover, No I would not go with to say that enjoyment is all life is for. We do not enjoy purposely. Do you? This is a by - product of your action. I am not there to enjoy but yes I can laugh a laugh with you and share something but I am a different entity. And this applies to all I guess.

We can live happy. but this life in 20 th centure is concern a different life we need to live here. sometimes we need to wait for somebody. sometimes long sometimes tshort time. why this is means "we are humans we need to depend others to live our life". so we hav to wait in some situations.

Even if people are happy about their life, their achievements, their social status. They are never contented, finding ways to achieve more. I think, we are greedy in nature but it is up to us to control it to make sure we will not step on others. That's the reasons why we wait...
