Rubber ducky, I'm glad I was saved by you! Yes, that's right. This little discussion features a rubber ducky (just in case you didn't recognize the borrowing of Ernie's Ode to Rubber Ducky. And, yes - the rubber ducky did help save the day. How, you ask? Well, read in this link to a news article and you'll see for yourself! http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news/weird/Rubber-Ducky-Saves-Life-of-Bay-Area-Woman.html I have to give the woman credit. She didn't panic. She used her head. She knew how to stay warm and, thanks be to ducky, how to say hydrated. If you were in her situation, stuck in a tub, would you be able to think clearly enough to use your wits for survival until someone came to check on you?

I would have drowned - fallen asleep and drowned. I am so glad that this lady is o.k. though. Isn't she remarkable? I do feel that her family should have checked on her before though

I hope to never be in such a situation but yes, I think I would know how to survive, I would hope I knew enough to survive anyways. They say "Getting old isn't for sissy's" lol and the older I get, the more I believe that. Now if I were in her shoes, especially since it happened to her, I'd make sure I had a cordless phone nearby or a walkie talkie so that I could get in contact with someone to help me out. I certainly don't look forward to those days that are soon to come.

Hey Jerz!! That poor dear woman, how awful for her, but yes she did keep her head on straight and it just goes to show us that even at her age she definitely had her wits about her (G)! I'm glad she had her "boys" there to help her out, ( those rubber ducky's )!! great story!!
