Isn't it great that President Obama wants to cap the CEO's pay and bonuses. This is great he is sticking to the fat cats. No more million dollar salaries and no more 2-5 million dollar bonus.

As a share holder this question has already come up with many companies and we had a chance to vote on it. This is nothing new.
It seems that we now have a new position in the government who has a staff that will be loyal voters of President Obama, because if he leaves so will their job. mean while the top 7 companies close their world headquarters in the US an move them to Ireland (very low Business Tax) and put 50,000 Americans out of a job and move 25,000 employees overseas to Ireland.
It seems that every time President Obama make a major policy statement you get instaneous clarifications as to what he said and in the end he really didn't do much at all.

It's about time! Glory and who-ha! Those jerks have been getting billions, and have been sending all of the good jobs overseas! I say let them leave! Then, we can rely on good ol Yankee Ingenuity! We build ourselves up before, so we can do it again, without Corporate America screwing the people. Work can fire people for whatever reason they want, but it's almost impossible to fight back. Maybe this will be the first step to protecting workers' rights!

Many years ago the Government tried to limit executives pay. The capped the amount of a salary that could be deducted from a Corp tax payments. What happened was Companies gave huge bonus and stock options. The Government has regulations in place that place limits on the stock options and how they can be traded. Don't forget the tax revenue generated from the high salaries. When President Obama bullied companies into not paying bonus it cost New York state Billions in lost Taxes and New York City lost almost a Billion in taxes. Even if that money were given to the workers the tax revenue would be much lower.
At the same time they are criticizing companies for paying bonuses the Government is paying bonus to its workers and the politicians are spending down their office budgets to buy necessities like new lap tops, big screen TV and new office furniture. Not setting a very good example are they but who is complaining about that?
