I was at the grocery store the other day and I saw this can of Guanabana Nectar and I thought I would give it a try. I have never heard of it before, but it is a brand that I have tried other Nectar's in before. Jumex is the brand name. I got a can to try since it was less than a dollar. I just popped it open. It smells strange, but it actually tastes ok. Not something I would go out and buy often, but I would not refuse to buy it again either. Have you ever heard of the Guanabana fruit? Ever tried it?

No! When I hear the word Nectar I'm literally thinking of birds and bees... I didn't know people drank nectar. It's not something I've ever tried, but I wouldn't be against trying something new.

My daughter picked a new one tonight. It is tamarind flavored. We will see if she likes this one too. It was 77 cents, so it is not like I wasted too much if she does not like it.

Hi lilybug, Yes it's kinda a tropical fruit , and you see it alot here in Mexico. I like the flavor , but I like juice more then nectar . My favorite is still good ole apple juice .

I have never seen the actual fruit. I was not sure what I was getting myself into when I bought it.

No, I've never heard of it before. But I'm always game to try something new. I'm guessing it isn't something I would find at my local Walmart Supercenter. Was it pretty healthy? I worry about added sugars in any kind of "juice" drink. Can you think of anything to compare the taste to as an example for those of us who have never tried it?

I got it at the Shop N Save here. I think they do have that brand at Walmart, but I am not sure about this particular one. It is really high in sugar.

Trying new things is a good thing. You never know when you are going to try a new favorite thing.
