How much will you spend on your dress in somebody's marriage ?

I am going to my mother's place from twenty of this month till the tenth of the next month. its my brother's marriage and my baby's firt visit to my place. i am so excited. there it is cold weather because the place is cold but here it is nevr cold. if we wanna feel some cold , we regulate our AC , lol. she will be experiencing every thing as a new there. we have spent a lot on dresses and shoes and everything . how much would you feel comfortable to spend on purchasing things to go on for any marriage out side your town?

I don't treat myself with a dress on somebody elses wedding. I buy cloths every month so that i can dress decently to office. But if the person getting married is very close to me like my sister or brother i would get a good dress for Rs. 1000-2000 (USD 20 - 40) max :)

I have buy dresses very expensive for the wedding of my two sisters an I will buy more for the wedding of one more sister and brother, I believe these occasions arrive once once in their life and I can allow myself to look pretty for the wedding or for myself.

It depends on the person's wedding I am attending...If I am attending a wedding of my relative then I really spend a lot in buys stuffs like a dress, shoes and matching ornaments with it. I also prefer a good hair cut.

it really depends... well if i'm trying to please someone really special , i'll probably splurge on my dress, shoes, and everything. and i have to arrive in the wedding place in style hehe, like get a car to rent or something. or beg someone to drive me there in a nice vehicle. anyway weddings are fun. i must admit, i get that fairy tale mood or feeling whenever the concept of weddings come into my mind.
