Recently Hillary Rodham Clinton said, when Barack Obama offered her to take the responsibility of Secretary of State then she was disgusted. Because she was the competitor of Obama for US Presidential candidate. She thought she was more popular in politics than Obama. But at last Obama was nominated as President candidate for Democratic Party.Afterward Hillary met Obama at his request.Hillary said after talking with obama she was convinced that he is intelligent and farsighted politician. So she accepted Obama's offer and became the Secretary of State of America. My question, is it bodown of Hillary to Obama or is it farsightedness of Hillary to gain more popularity in US politics.

I don't find this at all unusual in politics. It seems what is true today may not be true tomorrow since things change all the time. People who are running for office often say things that they have to recant at a later date.

Hillary Clinton is a very smart and savvy politician and she's always had her plans laid out in advance. People remark that she was a fool for standing by Bill after he cheated on her but, had she divorced him, she would have been out of the political loop and very few would even remember who she was today. She had her own plans for after he left office and I'm certain she continues to have her sights set on the White House. This position is a stepping stone. Lyndon Johnson disliked John F. Kennedy but he accepted the V.P. slot because winning with JFK was better than fading into obscurity.

I think it is farsightedness to gain more popularity. If she publicly shuns Obama people are going to view her as bitter and vindictive. This way, at least she can serve in a position of power and keep her profile in front of the American people.

I think so. She is trying to gain more popularity. Hillary is an intelligent politician. After all she is a lawyer.
