Did you know about this? Have you used it? I just posted a classified ad to try and sell the ATV that my husband, for whatever reason still escapes me, bought me one day. It was a Christmas present in 2007, the year we moved to this house in the country. I had wanted a rider mower to cut the huge amount of grass we have here, and I thought my husband would think that was a great idea since he had tried cutting the grass with a gas-powered push mower. We have about 2 acres of grass! But, he thought an ATV would be much better, although he never bought a grass-cutting attachment for it. I got on it one time in the year and a half that I've owned it. I bought myself a rider mower and my husband FINALLY sees how much better that is for grass cutting. So, I placed an ad to try and sell it on WalMart's website. I just learned about it a few months ago, but just thought to try and sell the ATV there today. Now, I'm looking around at other things I'd like to try and sell there. I have no idea if it will sell quickly or not sell at all. I'd love to hear from anyone who has used WalMart's free classified page to sell anything, or try to sell anything. Did you even know they had one?

Wow, I didn't know they had a classified area. I think I'll check it out. I have a few things I'd like to list and I'd like to find a part time cleaning job. Lol, that's funny that he bought an ATV instead of a mower. What did he think you would spend your spare time riding the ATV around instead of mowing the lawn?

I will, thanks! I have a few other things I want to try to sell as well and they'll be going up on WalMart's website, too, as soon as I get some photos taken. We have one of those 'Robo-mowers' that I bought for my husband. I used it, once, and it was cute the way it scampered all over the place, changing course whenever it came to the wire you have to put around the place to cut. The trouble with it, at least for us, was that we have several areas and would have to move the mower by hand to the different areas. Also, he never used it. So, since it seems to be up to me to cut the grass, I bought a rider mower. We also have two gas-powered push mowers that we don't use anymore. I hope I can sell them, too. I'll let you know!

I had no idea. That's a good thing to know. I can think of a lot of people who would like to be informed about it.

I tried Craig's List for the ATV early this year and the only responses I got were from frauds trying to steal my money. You know the kind, they say they'll send a check for the full amount plus enough for shipping, using THEIR shippers and, because they're "conveniently" out of the country, they must write one check for both and wanted me to write them a check for the shipping and mail it back to them. Yeah, right. Either these people are totally retarded, or they're hoping the person trying to sell something is! I've heard of others who have had this same thing happen. I want to sell locally and, since WalMart has stores all over the place, there's a better chance that someone locally will be interested in the ATV. There's still the chance that I'll get other fraudulent "buyers", but I guess, these days, that's a chance we all have to take and, hopefully, be aware of.

Hey Marti!! No I didn't know Walmart had a classified section but pretty cool to know! Have you tried craigslist to sell your ATV? Hubby is constantly looking on there for some great deals so who knows, someone in your area might be too. How much are you asking for it?, I forgot. Maybe I can post it on some stores here for you for I know you've been trying to sell it for a long time now.

I don't want no finders fee for doing something for a friend!! I will post it on craigslist here for you and who knows, we might get a hit!! You know, I had the same scam done to me when we tried to sell our living room furniture!! I fell for it at first then he came back with the same exact story he gave you! That's when I knew it was a scam!! I told him that the deal was off because I knew he was scamming me and he'll be reported. He hasn't contacted me since.

It's on craiglist again but for my area and if and when someone responds, I'll let you know. Now are you including the cargo carrier attachment with the sale?

I never knew they had a classifieds sections! They certainly try to be all things to all people and have a very creative promotion staff. I hope you sell the ATV but this is kind of a bad time to off load luxury items. Men are aliens, aren't they? They don't even think in coherent (to us) ways sometimes!

That's a great idea. I never knew Wal-mart had this option on their website. The scary thing is I will even use their website to purchase items. This is funny. I hope you are able to sell the ATV. Did your husband ride it? What was he thinking! My husband does the same type of thing. It must be a man thing? Maybe he wanted the ATV and thought that was the best way to tell you. Good grief. We do get some useless gifts don't we?
