The Dream
I lie awake
in the night
So empty
this feeling isn't right
Emptiness
deep down in my sould
Help me someone
I'm loosing control
Emptiness
in my heart
Oh Cupid
loan me your magic dart
Empty
of what I need
So real
I seem to bleed
Love has
gone astray
Please come back
that's all I pray
As I drift
close to sleep
Visions come
and I stop to weep
I dream of a place
far far away
where love isn't faded
by shadows of gray
No one hides
behind an actors mask
Finding ones love
is not a hard task
We can walk together
to lovers in love
We are at peace
like the angel's above
I can kiss and hold you
and make you believe
Your love is the only one
I want to receive
Two silhouettes embracing
in the last day's golden light
We begin to share our love
from dusk on through the night.

I actually used to write a lot during my high school years. I stopped after that though. I think I got a little to jaded by life and lost my inspiration. Life has a funny way of stomping the crap out of your dreams... and that can just sap any good sentiments right out of you if you let it. I let it:{

Holding me close in the dawn's early light,
I whisper to you, please dont say goodnight
Soon you will leave as you do in the day,
Back to your world, so dismal and grey
Stay with me forever in a world with no seams,
Full of love and caresses, of hopes and dreams
No fighting, no anger, just you and me,
A life so eternal in this world so free
A world full of love so pure and clean,
A world we can share...a life in our dreams.
